Hello! My name is Amy. I am a professional counselor with years of experience working with adults, families and adolescents. I have had the pleasure of working with youth and families with a range of concerns including parenting problems, family conflict, anxiety, depression, ADHD and career counseling. I have had specialized training to work with individuals who have experienced trauma.

My counseling style is one of compassion and respect. I believe it is important to build a rapport with my clients and demonstrate respect, empathy and encouragement. I offer services that include a warm, empathetic and trauma informed approach while working with clients to improve their situation and support them with the goals they have for living their best life and improving their relationships.

My approach is tailored to each person and their individual needs with styles that include solution-focused , person centered and cognitive behavioral counseling.

Taking steps to care for yourself and making changes can be very scary and overwhelming. I know from experience how much life can change for the better when you accept support and be more intentional about taking care of yourself!

Online counseling, also known as teletherapy, is a method of delivering mental health services through digital means such as video conferencing, phone calls, or messaging platforms. It can be an ideal option for individuals who have difficulty accessing traditional therapy due to geographical distance, time constraints, or personal preferences like privacy and comfort. Many people find it easier to open up from the familiarity of their own space.

Teletherapy has been found to be highly effective, with studies showing that it can produce similar outcomes to in-person therapy, particularly for issues like anxiety, depression, and PTSD. The flexibility and accessibility it offers make it a valuable alternative to conventional therapy settings.

I consider Amy to be the best therapist I've ever had. She helped me so much with working through a lot of very difficult pandemic anxiety, She asked relevant questions and helped me come to conclusions on my own. Thanks Amy!

Amy helped me think through whatever problems I felt were weighing me down in a very calm and respectful manner.

I started with Amy back in June, I was a little nervous about starting to see a therapist, because I had never done that before. Amy immediately put me at ease. I was having a lot of issues in my personal life and issues with my family and Amy has helped me tremendously. I could not be more happier with Amy. She is very kind, understanding and every single session we have had, I have taken something very helpful away with me. Our sessions have been more helpful to me than I could possibly explain here. Anyone lucky enough to get paired with Amy, will not be disappointed.

This is my first time going to therapy and Amy has been very helpful and empathetic. She goes the extra step of sending me worksheets in relating to what I’ve expressed during our sessions which help a lot as well. I’m very appreciative of her
