Online counseling, also known as teletherapy, is a method of delivering mental health services through digital means such as video conferencing, phone calls, or messaging platforms. It can be an ideal option for individuals who have difficulty accessing traditional therapy due to geographical distance, time constraints, or personal preferences like privacy and comfort. Many people find it easier to open up from the familiarity of their own space.

Teletherapy has been found to be highly effective, with studies showing that it can produce similar outcomes to in-person therapy, particularly for issues like anxiety, depression, and PTSD. The flexibility and accessibility it offers make it a valuable alternative to conventional therapy settings.

Every conversation with Dr. Latasha leaves me feeling good about myself. She notices and acknowledges the things we wouldn't within our relationships with others and ourselves. I feel a lot of positive vibes from her. She is like a knowledgeable friend. I have seen other therapists before but she is the best one by far. I feel lucky to have her as my therapist.

Reviewed March 2021

Dr McIlwaine listens like a compassionate and insightful friend, and has helped me understand how some of my thinking relates to my past as well as my patterns. I've found our sessions are really helping me live more intentionally.

Dr. McIlwaine has helped me through the most difficult relationship issue I have ever had. Difficult because it is the only one I have ever had. In a short period she has helped to gain my trust and speak the hard truth while being a cheerleader for my goals. I've been able to tell her things that I've only told two people in my life, and she is the only impartial one.

My experience with Dr. McIlwaine has been very good, just the right balance of listening and understanding while providing resources to move me toward workable solutions for the challenges I am dealing with.

Reviewed September 2020

Dr. McIlwaine listens and makes sure she understands what I'm saying. She follows my random trains of thought, but she also redirects me back to the main point when needed. I'm very comfortable discussing anything with her, as she's non-judgemental. She's able to switch gears and listen/advise about a variety of issues. Would recommend my friends to her, for sure.

Reviewed August 2020

Dr. Mcllwaine is very responsive and trying to help me in so many ways, I feel really good when I talk to her.

Reviewed August 2020

Dr McIlwaine is non-judgmental and insightful. Talking to her has been the best decision, and such a relief to feel able to speak openly, and, as it is the first time I have undertaken counselling, with guidance.
