Hi, my name is Monica. First, let me say that it takes a certain type of bravery to ask for help from anyone, let alone a stranger. It is different than the bravery it takes to protect our country or our cities, different than the bravery it takes to walk into a room full of people, and even different than what it takes to perform on stage or on an athletic field. So please take a moment to acknowledge this and recognize the positivity!
I am a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor in the state of Ohio and a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in the state of Florida. I have worked in the mental health field for 21 years in some capacity, including community mental health, forensic assessment, and school counseling. What I find most gratifying is that "light bulb" moment when the person in front of me realizes and understands their worth, their strength, or that sense of connecting the dots which is so empowering for growth. I work with the individual to help them see past the personal obstacles that brought them to me in the first place and be able to find the happiness or feel relief they seek. I listen, I accept, and I coach you into a better state of mental balance. My approach to therapy is to challenge thoughts and behaviors that impede productive living; having said that, I also like to tailor my technique to the person I'm interacting with. I place most of my focus on our therapeutic relationship, which is the key to our success. I recently have found a passion for helping those courageous individuals in first responder fields. I have training in Emotional Freedom Technique (Tapping) and EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing). I work with those living with anxiety, grief, life changes, stress, or whatever else might interfere with living the life you deserve.
So pull up a "couch" (or your favorite chair or happy place, because with BetterHelp, you can do this wherever you feel most comfortable) and let's get started. I am ready to listen and do what I can to help.

Online counseling, sometimes called teletherapy, refers to talk therapy delivered remotely through digital platforms, such as video calls, phone calls, or chat. It can be a great option for people who face barriers to traditional face-to-face therapy, such as those living in remote areas, individuals with mobility issues, or people with busy schedules that make it difficult to attend in-person sessions.
Teletherapy also offers greater convenience and flexibility, allowing clients to access care from the comfort of their homes. Research shows that the treatment outcomes with online counseling are often just as effective as with traditional therapy, providing a viable alternative for individuals seeking mental health support.

Monica has been tremendously helpful and has guided me through some very difficult times in my life. Her ability to listen and provide insight and perspective is extremely valuable.
Wonderful person, and even better therapist…really helped work through any anxiety and issues I had and genuinely felt like she cared.
She is great.
Monica is amazing to talk to and always gives me helpful tools to manage my anxiety and life stressors. Would recommend her to anyone!
I have been working with Monica for over 2 years. I can address my problems without any fear and she gives me feedback that I can work on.
Monica is a breath of fresh air. She always gives me a perspective that makes me think.
So far, even after only a few weeks and a handful of sessions with Monica I can confidently say she is a very compassionate, kind, caring individual who genuinely tries to connect with clients during sessions, wants to help people, and tries not to waste their time. I got very lucky getting her as the first therapist I was assigned as I don’t feel any need to switch or look elsewhere for services. I highly recommend Monica as a therapist for anyone who needs help coming to terms with trauma and family issues.
I've been working with Monica for a year now and have learned and changed in so many ways. I am happy with the service and the convenience. She is incredible.
Monica has been wonderful! She is professional and knowledgeable, but mostly she is compassionate. Even when I “mess up” she is there to encourage me. She’s quick to respond to messages and has had so many insightful things to say that I’m learning how to navigate things on my own and process things in a more productive way. She’s amazing!
Monica has been an immense help to me in the last month. She has been helping me so much with my trauma and life. She gives me great homework and makes me really think. I can’t express how thankful I am to be working with her to help my mental health.
I really feel like Monic listens. She asks all the right questions to help understand her patients. I reached out for help after a very difficult time in my life where I felt heartbroken, emotionally distraught and broken. I didn’t think I could go on in my marriage and didn’t know how to build up my self worth. She has been outstanding in her advice and support. I feel like I’m stronger than I ever was and have a deep understanding on why I’m feeling the way I’m feeling and how I can overcome the pain and anxiety I was feeling. Monica is kind and supportive and has sound knowledge in her field.
Good fit
She’s a natural. Yet methodological and knows what she’s doing. Easy to talk to and that’s important. I don’t feel boxed by her.
Monica has been so kind, caring, and helpful throughout my betterhelp journey with her. I feel comfortable sharing anything and everything with her, and she always has insightful feedback and strategies for improving the situations presented. She is fun to talk to, the half hour always flies by. I would recommend Monica to anyone looking for a stable source of practical advice each week, a cheerleader in all of life’s endeavors, and someone to talk things through with when times are tough
Monica is a sensitive, sweet and skilled therapist. She made me feel safe enough to open up and explore Betterhelp for the first time. It was a good experience all around.
Monica is incredibly professional, thoughtful, kind, insightful and patient. She is attentive and thorough and is always willing to meet me where I am in my journey. I value her as a professional and as a human being. Couldn't recommend her more!
My journey with Monica has be filled with a lot of Ups and Downs, but I am thankful for her input to help me get on track. I am improving emotional and professionally, and it is showing in all aspects in my life. I look back at where I was just a year ago, and I can say my journey with Monica and Better Help has enlightened my life tremendously!
Monica has been a saving grace to me. She helped me navigate my feelings and thoughts through a very tough, pivotal point in my life by being there through chat and video calls on a consistent basis. I could reach out at any hour with any feeling and I knew she would reach out to me in a timely manner with insight and the correct tools to help level me out when my anxiety became too much. I truly don’t believe I would’ve come out of that point and now on the right path if it wasn’t with her help. She truly cares about what you are saying and how you are feeling and makes you feel like you’re talking to a friend. I’d recommend her services to any of my friends and family.
Monica is incredible - highly recommend! She helped me through an insanely transitional time, it would have been so difficult without her. She gives you real tactile ways of coping in ‘real life’ outside your sessions, and they’re super helpful.
Would highly recommend as a therapist
