More about Jerrilynn

I have been called a “Soul Whisperer” by clients due to being highly intuitive, however it is more about teaching others to listen to their own intuition,, which knows what is in their most highest and greatest good to have a full satisfying life. I love to inspire others to change the story that they tell themselves about the events that have happened in their lives, as this story was based on inaccurate distortions, emotional turmoil, perceived fear, and outdated messages, leading to psychological, emotional and physical pain. Life is like a mirror that reflects back all the hurt, disappointment, anger, unmet needs, unrealistic expectations, guilt, shame, and disillusionment that a person holds onto as a victim of their circumstances. On the other side of depression and anger, anxiety and panic attacks, trauma and PTSD, borderline personality and addiction is self-understanding, self-acceptance, self-forgiveness, self-respect, resiliency, serenity, peace, and joy. I remember asking one of the counselors that I worked with twenty years ago, “Has there ever been anyone that you could not help as I think I might be that person because I am beyond repair and there is no hope for me.” This counselor laughed and said “Never. I have a partnership with the Creator and no one has ever walked away without experiencing incredible personal growth and you won’t be my first.” She was right!

I am 100% committed and dedicated to helping others discover meaning and purpose in their lives by supporting them on their own healing journey to stop the cycle of pain, addiction, violence, abuse, discrimination, abandonment, bullying, neglect, suicide, and trauma, all of which I have personally experienced myself. I am confident that I can help anyone who is truly looking to heal. It is not only about managing symptoms, but finding the source of suffering to promote clarity, healing, honesty, growth, compassion, forgiveness, accountability, self-care, and empowerment. It is about changing the self-talk, inner dialogue and belief systems that no longer serve you and interferes with a healthy mind, body, and spirit connection. I am very passionate about helping others understand the negative thinking and emotional issues underlying mental health struggles and/or substance abuse patterns that keep them stuck, stagnant and enslaved to repeating behaviors that lead to self-sabotage and self-destruction

I am a caring, engaging, empathetic, and compassionate professional mental health and substance abuse counselor, with a very strong theoretical foundation in evidenced-based modalities, such as Cognitive Behavior Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Narrative Therapy, Reality Therapy, Client-Centered Therapy, Adlerian Therapy, Gestalt Therapy, Attachment Therapy, and additional training in breath therapy to release childhood trauma. I also encourage clients to discover the blocks that hold them back from moving ahead in the areas of career, finances, relationships, personal growth, recreation, health, romance and spirituality. I motivate others to let go of enabling and co-dependency, set and maintain healthy boundaries, practice reflective listening and assertive communication, release grief and loss, and discover the meaning and purpose of living. I look forward to helping anyone that is ready to embark on healing the past, embracing the present, creating a new future, and living an authentic and truthful life.

Online counseling, also known as teletherapy, is a method of delivering mental health services through digital means such as video conferencing, phone calls, or messaging platforms. It can be an ideal option for individuals who have difficulty accessing traditional therapy due to geographical distance, time constraints, or personal preferences like privacy and comfort. Many people find it easier to open up from the familiarity of their own space.

Teletherapy has been found to be highly effective, with studies showing that it can produce similar outcomes to in-person therapy, particularly for issues like anxiety, depression, and PTSD. The flexibility and accessibility it offers make it a valuable alternative to conventional therapy settings.

In 3 sessions I have felt more understood than during 3 years with a previous therapist. Jerrilynn just seems to get it. It’s not a pity party, it’s just straight to the point insights and tools to help you get to where you want to be. She is empowering, I feel pushed a little outside my comfort zone in order to help me to grow. She is very kind and wise. Look forward to my weekly sessions.

Jerrilynn is worth her weight in gold. I came to her in a challenging place in my life. I felt bound. I was in a place where I was not present for myself or those that I love. In the time I have worked with Jerrilynn I never felt shamed. With the work she has done with me and the skills she has equipped me with I feel free. I walk and live in freedom now. I show up everyday for myself and my family. When I started I wasn't able to go outside for several weeks at a time. When I was able to venture out it was often accompanied with panic attacks. I now go outside every day with confidence with conditions in place and a non verbal cue to my husband when I need to leave. I now practice self care daily. My husband loves having his wife back:) Thank you Jerrilynn and BetterHelp!

Absolutely love Jerrilynn. We have worked through some pretty intense stuff and I always leave the session feeling like it’s a lot easier to tackle than I originally thought.

Reviewed July 2022

She's literally the best person I know, and without her I'd be in the dark. She has helped me find my light again even on days when others hate seeing me shine. J-Lynn has me forward thinking about my goals every week. In moments of self-doubt, she always reminds me who I am.

Reviewed June 2022

Jerrilynn keeps me focused when I feel like everything is a blur, like a tornado of emotions around me. If I forget my goals, she reminds me. When I get overwhelmed or caught up in relinquishing my power to others to hold over me, she redirects me. We haven’t been working together for very long but I have learned so much more than I could have ever hoped for. Thank you so much Jerrilynn!

Reviewed August 2021

Jerrilynn has been an exceptional counselor. She has helped me get to the root of my anxieties and guided me in changing my thinking so that I can live more peacefully. I feel respected and honored when speaking with her. I feel that I can be myself and say what I need to without judgement. I have been in counseling for 10+ years and Jerrilynn is exactly the counselor I needed at this time in my life. I am very grateful.

Reviewed June 2021

Jerrilyn’s impact has been life changing for me. I could never have gotten thru a difficult time and went from a point of surviving to thriving without her. She is hands down the best in the industry.

Reviewed May 2021

Kerri Lynn had a way of putting things that make sense and clarify things. Even in one session I was starting to see things more clearly.

Reviewed April 2021

I had never experienced accountability therapy before Jerrilynn and I must say I love it. It is challenging and quickly throws into relief exactly where I am ready to grow and where I am still comfortable being stuck. She is goal oriented and uses extremely helpful tools to dismantle the road blocks the brain has built up. I love that she takes discreet notes during our sessions. I always feel listened too and she is able to circle back to points or things I’ve said mid way through a rambling tangent. She clearly knows her stuff and uses terminology regarding certain grief cycles and shame triangles that really resonate with me and is also enlightening to those around me. Absolutely recommend Jerrilynn.

Reviewed March 2021

I’ve only had one meeting with Jerrilynn so far, however, I thought she was very helpful. She is easy to connect with, thoughtful with her questions and thorough with explanations.

Reviewed January 2021

I have only had one session with Jerrilynn and already we have identified the roots of my issues. What I like most about her is that unlike other therapists, she challenges me to see things from the perspectives of others in my life and rationalize what my prerogatives are and what is and is not my business. We are working on techniques to help me address my behavioral problems, which is something I have not experienced much of with past therapists. I can't wait for our next session and the ones after. I have a feeling she is the therapist I have been searching for since I started going to therapy as a teenager.
