Dabney has a passion for working with people struggling with a variety of issues, including dysfunctional behavior rooted in shame, addiction, self-loathing, low self-esteem, perfectionism, trauma and abuse and grief/loss. I am driven to help individuals heal their wounds, develop a new relationship with their thoughts and transform their lives. I am passionate about helping my clients reach their full potential by living their lives more confidently and authentically. I have over twelve years of experience as a therapist and have provided therapy in individual and group settings. I have worked with children, adolescents, young adults and families, and provide compassionate, non-judgmental care. I use an integrative, client-centered orientation that draws from multiple theories and techniques which includes: Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Attachment-Based Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Mindfulness Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Solution-Focused Therapy and Trauma-Focused Therapy. I came in with a lot of prior knowledge and experience in myself, but her expertise has helped me more than I ever thought. I didn't know where I could go from where I was. I had tried a lot of methods to get me on the right track. She's very kind and thoughtful and patient. I would definitely recommend giving her a try even if you think you know yourself well. You never know what may help : )

Reviewed June 2022

From the beginning I was scared to start therapy. She guided me through the process and assured me.. it would be scary, but we are in this together. She is honest. Like a friend but doesn't cross the the boundaries of therapist/ client. She checks in often, when I forgot to.. and if I have a moment of stress.. she will respond to emails in a timely manner. She is to the point and logical, but is very capable of taking my obsure/random thought and formatting them, so I can even understand my own brain better. She's a cheerleader. You can tell Dabney wants her clients to be well. I highly recommend, and hope she never quits. She has gotten me out of the darkest times. It feels good to have a plan and someone who cares
