I am a licensed clinical social worker in the state of California and the state of Washington. I earned my Master of Social Work Degree from Washington University in St. Louis, and my Masters of Education from University of Texas San Antonio.
For the past thirty years I have worked in private practices, schools, juvenile courts and community health organizations doing therapy and mediation. I have worked with a wide variety of clients from children, young adults, families, and the elderly from diverse backgrounds. My specialties include, parenting issues individually or in groups, play therapy with children concerning friendships, grief and loss and autistic children's social needs. With teenagers ,and young adults our focus has been relationships, anger management ,and career choices, and with the elderly 65+ population their issues of loneliness and depression.
I am a compassionate and experienced therapist using a combination of approaches.
I work with my clients where they are, give them the space to explore and use their strengths and experiences in order to help them get to where they want to go. As we process together gaining an understanding of their struggle, they will simultaneously learn new tools and skills to foster healthy functioning self esteem and relationships.
Given the present social isolation, people are looking for a secure place to reach out and find support. I am passionate about helping those in need. I can offer a supportive and nurturing environment enabling clients to work through their challenges. I respect your courage for making the choice to work with Better Help to seek better understanding.

Online counseling, sometimes called teletherapy, refers to talk therapy delivered remotely through digital platforms, such as video calls, phone calls, or chat. It can be a great option for people who face barriers to traditional face-to-face therapy, such as those living in remote areas, individuals with mobility issues, or people with busy schedules that make it difficult to attend in-person sessions.
Teletherapy also offers greater convenience and flexibility, allowing clients to access care from the comfort of their homes. Research shows that the treatment outcomes with online counseling are often just as effective as with traditional therapy, providing a viable alternative for individuals seeking mental health support.

Pati does a great job of listening and making me feel heard
My therapist has helped me through a very challenging time in myclife. I have been very thankful we were put together. She has given me many tools for my toolbox to help me stay on course in the future.
patti played an important role in my life during my divorce. she gave me a space to speak freely and be vulnerable, but also helped me understand the impact on my kids, how to navigate difficult situations with my ex wife, and regained my confidence as a father. I will never forget this time of my life
Patti is very kind and truly listens to me. She encourages me to seek ways to improve my healing process.
Patti has a great ability to listen, but not only listen, she is really able to focus on what’s most important in what I have to say. She’s been fantastic about following up with me, and she’s great about asking questions that really make me think about who and where I am with my emotions. I feel much more in tune with who I am, and I have a revived sense of direction thanks to her help.
Patti is lovely and has been very helpful.
Patti is so uplifting and kind. She gives me time to talk through my problems and doesn’t make me feel rushed. Then after listening and validating what I am feeling she offers some suggestions for tools and homework that will help. I always feel more confident and calm after talking with her.

Patti has been a wonderful counselor for me over a period of 8 months. She is a compassionate and kind person who takes a lot of care to listen to what I am saying and help me identify patterns that are difficult for me to see otherwise. She has helped me build more support into my everyday life by experimenting with different strategies to identify what works for me. I am very grateful for my time with her.

Patti is an absolutely wonderful counselor. She listens to me, engages with me, and I feel very comfortable with her. It took me several counselors before finding Patti, and she has been a perfect fit. Therapy has always made me nervous, but I feel completely relaxed during our sessions.
