Aimee is extremely kind and caring. She is the first person I’ve talked to so frankly to about my life and emotions and she is the perfect person to talk to about all that. I’ve made a lot of progress over my time with her and I’m very thankful to have such an understanding person to talk to and learn from.

Overall my experience with Aimee has been outstanding! She was always extremely supportive and helpful when it came to stepping out of my comfort zone and conquering my anxiety head on! She is also extremely patient as my sessions were most of the time spread out! She always made it a priority to make sure I was doing okay even when I was not scheduling sessions regularly! Highly recommend her for anyone struggling with anxiety and/ or agoraphobia!

Welcome! My name is Aimee and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in Texas with 7 years of experience across three different states. For many years, I have worked with individuals and families within a hospital setting. Prior to this, I worked in outpatient settings with children, teens, adults, and geriatric clients. I currently direct an Intensive Outpatient Program. I have helped an array of clients throughout my years in the field. Specifically, I have experience with depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, schizophrenic disorders, autism spectrum disorders, trauma, suicidal ideation, self-injury, Borderline Personality Disorder, and substance use disorders.

I put emphasis on you being your own expert, but make it known that you are not alone and that I am your expert guide through the process of recovering, healing, and creating change in your life. I use a variety of techniques, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Rational Emotive Behavioral therapy, and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy. Additionally, I practice from a trauma-informed perspective and have been trained in Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy.

I believe your story is one that needs to be heard and I believe that each aspect of your life in which you seek change deserves my undivided attention. I will encourage and challenge you, while also meeting you where you are.

I so look forward to working with you as you begin (or continue) your journey to wellness!

This is my first experience with a therapist and Aimee is really great. She listens to everything I have to say especially in moments where I word vomit and helps me rationalize and think about things in a better way. I've gotten a lot of worksheets and such from her as well that have really helped me further my progress outside of our sessions because it makes me think more about what we talk about in our sessions and helps me understand how to get better.
