Hi! I'm Kenzie. I am happy that you are here. I am a licensed professional counselor and art therapist in Michigan. I received my master's degree from Wayne State University. I have experience working in an inpatient behavioral health setting where I treated adults, adolescents, MIDD, and geriatric populations. I recently transitioned to the private practice setting. I have worked with clients with a wide range of concerns including depression, anxiety, relationship issues, parenting problems, career challenges, life transitions, OCD and ADHD. I also helped many people who have experienced physical trauma or emotional abuse. I also have helped several individuals with severe mental health issues.

My counseling style is based on providing the best possible support for the individuals I am working with. I believe in treating everyone with respect, sensitivity, and compassion, but most importantly meeting you where you are at on your current journey. My approach is integrative. I draw from theories and approaches based on the needs of the individuals. I combine cognitive-behavioral, humanistic, mindfulness techniques, strength-based, solution-focused, and rational-emotive counseling.

It is not easy to open up yourself to another person and taking this step for a better self can be anxiety provoking and uneasy. It is my intention to create an environment where you feel supported, empowered, and able to provide feedback to me as we work together.

I look forward to working with you!

Online counseling, also known as teletherapy, is a method of delivering mental health services through digital means such as video conferencing, phone calls, or messaging platforms. It can be an ideal option for individuals who have difficulty accessing traditional therapy due to geographical distance, time constraints, or personal preferences like privacy and comfort. Many people find it easier to open up from the familiarity of their own space.

Teletherapy has been found to be highly effective, with studies showing that it can produce similar outcomes to in-person therapy, particularly for issues like anxiety, depression, and PTSD. The flexibility and accessibility it offers make it a valuable alternative to conventional therapy settings.
