Hello and welcome to my online office!
My name is Charles and I am a mental health counselor licensed in Arizona, Florida and Georgia with over 10 years of experience working with individuals and families. I have worked with clients with a wide range of concerns including depression, anxiety, relationship issues, parenting problems, substance abuse, gender identity issues and grief/loss. I have also helped many people who have experienced physical trauma or emotional abuse. I am trained as an adoption-competent therapist to work with adoptive families and I am a certified trauma therapist.
My counseling style is warm, caring and interactive. I believe in treating everyone with respect, sensitivity, and compassion, and I don't believe in stigmatizing labels. My approach combines cognitive-behavioral, solution-focused and rational-emotive counseling. I will tailor our dialog and treatment plan to meet your unique and specific needs as it is important to meet you where you are at and use your expertise as well.
It takes courage to seek out help for a more fulfilling and happier life and to take the first steps towards a change. If you are ready to take that step I am here to support and empower you. I live by the view that if you can change the way you look at things the things you look at can change. This slight change in perspective can make a world of difference in your life!
Thank you for stopping by and I look forward to working with you!

Online counseling, also known as teletherapy, is a method of delivering mental health services through digital means such as video conferencing, phone calls, or messaging platforms. It can be an ideal option for individuals who have difficulty accessing traditional therapy due to geographical distance, time constraints, or personal preferences like privacy and comfort. Many people find it easier to open up from the familiarity of their own space.
Teletherapy has been found to be highly effective, with studies showing that it can produce similar outcomes to in-person therapy, particularly for issues like anxiety, depression, and PTSD. The flexibility and accessibility it offers make it a valuable alternative to conventional therapy settings.

Charles is a compassionate and empathetic counselor. He sits and listens to the issues at hand and would recommend or suggest solutions to your problems.
charles is great!! hes very patient with me and understands what i need to work on. he’s very supportive and respectful, and very easy to talk to. he makes it easy for me to be myself and open up to him. i do hope to receive some more feedback/input when i message him about an issue that comes up right away instead of waiting until our next video meeting, but nonetheless he’s still an amazing therapist to have!
He has been a phenomenal help to me with my depression, my anxiety, and dealing with grief. Cannot recommend him enough

Charles is kind and compassionate. He's a good listener and provides feedback when desired
I read Charles's first message to me when I was coming out of a panic attack, and reading it made me feel better right away. His messages and phone conversations are detailed, comprehensive and make you feel like he's taking note of details you tell him. I'm so glad I downloaded this app and connected with him. I don't know where I'd be otherwise.
Has been great. Very patient and understanding.
Patient, caring and doesn't talk over you. Highly recommend.
