I am a warm and accepting counselor licensed in Virginia with over 7 years of experience working as a child, adolescent, and early adult counselor. I have worked with clients with a wide range of concerns including depression, anxiety, relationship issues, parenting problems, career challenges, OCD and ADHD. I also helped many people who have experienced physical trauma or emotional abuse. I have a passion for working with those who are feeling lost or unsure of themselves. I believe deeply in working together to develop a sacred and healing place that is needed for growth and transformation to happen.

My counseling style is accepting, nonjudgmental, and interactive. I believe all change begins with curiosity and taking a first step. I strive to create space for healing, connection, and courage. My approach combines cognitive-behavioral, humanistic counseling, and wellness model, which means I work hard to facilitate a process that will accomplish your goals by focusing on strengths and sources of resilience. I believe in creating a therapeutic counseling relationship that promotes unconditional positive regard and acceptance. My goal is that you will feel safe to entrust our relationship to hold your stories and this will enable you to take the risks needed for growth and self-exploration moving forward.

It's not easy to change and seek help. It takes strength to demand more out of life and to move yourself to this place. If you are ready to stop going with the flow and take charge of your of your journey. I am here to guide, support, challenge, and empower you.

I look forward to working with you soon!

Online counseling, also known as teletherapy, is a method of delivering mental health services through digital means such as video conferencing, phone calls, or messaging platforms. It can be an ideal option for individuals who have difficulty accessing traditional therapy due to geographical distance, time constraints, or personal preferences like privacy and comfort. Many people find it easier to open up from the familiarity of their own space.

Teletherapy has been found to be highly effective, with studies showing that it can produce similar outcomes to in-person therapy, particularly for issues like anxiety, depression, and PTSD. The flexibility and accessibility it offers make it a valuable alternative to conventional therapy settings.

Rebecca is an absolutely wonderful therapist. She is an amazing listener who takes notes, leads with compassion, and has a kind and considerate approach to therapy. She is exactly the kinda therapist I wish to have and I appreciate her more every session we have.

Reviewed November 2021

Rebecca is warm and easy-going. She provides great insight. She goes with pace of your growth in terms of challenging you with ‘homework’ and goal-setting. She’s easy to talk to—a great asset to the service.

Reviewed November 2021

She takes the time to get to understand you before you really start your sessions and then asks you what you want from everything you're doing and listens to you the whole time. I've had experiences with other therapists that really pushed me away from therapy, and so far, she's been my favourite therapist and has been most responsive towards what I want from her.

I love Rebecca! She's the winning combination of professional and empathetic. I couldn't ask for a better counselor.

I always don’t know what to write as review for Rebecca Wright. So I always end up writing nothing because honestly anything I write won’t be able to convey my sense of gratitude towards Rebecca and how much she has helped me. Thank you Rebecca.

Rebecca is a very understanding and patient therapist

Reviewed November 2020

I have been meeting with Rebecca for just a few weeks now. From the first day we spoke, she put me at ease, and I was so impressed with her intuition, empathy, and insight. She patiently listens to my rambling and helps me make sense of things in order to process my grief. Her optional worksheets and self-care "homework" have been so helpful as well. She is timely and thoughtful in her chat responses also. I'm really please with the flexibility and quality of these counseling sessions so far.
