Welcome, my name is Meacco and I am a licensed professional counselor and a board-certified coach in the state of Louisiana. I have over 15 years of experience working in the mental health field. I have worked and volunteered in a variety of settings including an in-patient substance abuse treatment facility for women, hotline for suicide prevention and in high schools. I have the most experience dealing with anxiety, PTSD, family/relationships, life transitions, LGBTQ, identity issues and recently became a "Kink Informed" provider. I also have experience working with people suffering from depression and grief.

I use a person-centered approach which means we’ll work on personal growth, development, help minimize feelings of distress, enhance our understanding of yourself and increase self-esteem. What you can expect from me is positive regard, empathetic understanding, and non-judgmental listening as we move towards working on the things you feel are the most important to you. I will encourage you to make the choices you feel comfortable making.

Online counseling, sometimes called teletherapy, refers to talk therapy delivered remotely through digital platforms, such as video calls, phone calls, or chat. It can be a great option for people who face barriers to traditional face-to-face therapy, such as those living in remote areas, individuals with mobility issues, or people with busy schedules that make it difficult to attend in-person sessions.

Teletherapy also offers greater convenience and flexibility, allowing clients to access care from the comfort of their homes. Research shows that the treatment outcomes with online counseling are often just as effective as with traditional therapy, providing a viable alternative for individuals seeking mental health support.
