Hello. My name is Jeff Bennett. Thank you for reviewing my profile.
I care. I believe I can help you. One reason I believe that is because of consistent positive feedback by the diverse many who I counsel in person. I have over 25 years of experience in face to face counsel as a professional therapist. Now I have expanded my availability online with Chat, LiveChat, Phone and Video. As you will read, I am available, present, comfortable, and received well professionally and personally in various settings and communities with diverse populations.
Life is indeed challenging. I am learning from experience how important it is to regularly include support from wise and proven counselors. Therefore I dedicate extensive time and effort toward my heart's desire of being the best individual and professional psychotherapist I can be. I believe one of my gifts and purpose in life is to help others.
To strengthen my skills toward my purpose, I seek and receive education and extensive rigorous training and supervision. Okay... honestly... some options I entered into very conflicted and begrudgingly. Then I continued to show much resistance. Eventually and not unusually, I discovered benefit and fruit and practicality, even from those teachings I first considered unredeemable. So now I am learning to be more open and embrace certain thoughts and teachings what I once judged and rejected. I find this also applies true for life experiences and events. Freshly reconsidering and contemplating, often through my daily meditating, I find and glean many unexpected beautiful gems, even from life memories of decades ago. Odd how much of life and events unfold. Very unpredictable.
Most of those experiences of growth were very humbling for me. For the most part, these experiences of learning still are humbling as I continue to develop and become. These growth opportunities are not just from formal teachers. It seems there are growth opportunities from everyone I meet, and every event I experience. Therefore, if you discern to schedule with me, in our exchanges together, I too will very likely be learning along side you.
I intentionally as well as serendipitously benefit from an assortment of active steps to better develop my inner resources and therapeutic skills. This includes personally receiving counsel from professional therapists. Yes. I benefit from that too. I wasn't just born with these skills. LOL. While there may be individuals around each and all of us that could and do help us in multiple ways, I believe everyone would still benefit at least from some counsel through a professional. It continues to be a great help for me. Without exception. I am confident in saying that the benefits from any and all counsel will nurture a continuous unfolding of life-long lasting positive and diverse outcomes.
In my life's quest for healing, betterment and enrichment, I even spent time in a seminary. But don't worry. I definitely know that I am not 'holier than thou'. I believe the experience gave me something uniquely good, that for me, I was not able to find elsewhere. Again, I learned much there, and from many resources beyond the extensive readings required in that setting. FYI, I am cisgender and an ally and stand proud.
My professional history has given me an opportunity of meeting many individuals with varying and diverse lifestyles, cultures, beliefs, ages, politics, faiths, experiences and challenges. For example, I have worked with many individuals who are committed to a 12 step program. These individuals are those who strive for recovery due not just to substance addiction, but also from events, traumas, relationships, childhood experiences, chemical imbalances and behavior challenges. I also have worked with individuals presented with dual (two together) diagnosis such as with chemical imbalances with a substance addiction, or depression along with anxiety issues.
My professional experience lead me also to many diverse places. These places include general as well as specialized inpatient psychiatric hospitals. One psychiatric hospital specializes in 'forensic' patients, those who are waiting to stand trial for felony charges but deemed by a judge to be mentally incompetent to stand trial. I worked with the treatment team to help the individual be mentally competent to stand trial. I served in many hospitals as a chaplain. I served on a military base for those active duty military and their families as a Military Family and Life Consultant. I have accepted special assignments. These assignments involve debriefing individuals and groups on location in the community and workplaces when criminal, tragic, violent, accidental, or hate driven events happen.
If you even contemplate a little that you might benefit from counsel in one form or another, I encourage you to somehow find it within yourself to take courageous steps and secure professional counsel. Secure that support you need to take those steps. Enjoy unique experiences in your life that you believe will help you personally grow within yourself and relationships, in your mental, spiritual, and emotional wellbeing and healings, as well as toward your professional development. Then I encourage you to share liberally with others in opportune moments from your own gleaning experiences.
If you consider that I might be part of your quest for betterment and enriched sense of self, relationships, healing and living, then I am honored. Please subscribe. Online counseling, also known as teletherapy, is a method of delivering mental health services through digital means such as video conferencing, phone calls, or messaging platforms. It can be an ideal option for individuals who have difficulty accessing traditional therapy due to geographical distance, time constraints, or personal preferences like privacy and comfort. Many people find it easier to open up from the familiarity of their own space.
Teletherapy has been found to be highly effective, with studies showing that it can produce similar outcomes to in-person therapy, particularly for issues like anxiety, depression, and PTSD. The flexibility and accessibility it offers make it a valuable alternative to conventional therapy settings.

Chaplain Jeff is insightful, gentle and clearly cares a lot for the people he counsels. I highly recommend him!
Jeff Bennett listened well to what I had to say and understood what I was communicating. He provided helpful general life advice that I believe will guide me well in the long run.
He has been very understanding. He really listens and prays with me. I don't feel judged and for the first time I really poured out things that have been on my mind. Thanks Jeff
Mr. Bennett is not just professional, but passionate about his client's health and happiness. He not only offers insights via chat, but also provides helpful worksheets. If utilized, the worksheets do wonders! He always picks the right ones for the topic we are covering.
Jeff is a great guy!
Jeffrey lead me to many new path of healing that I have taken up and used in my daily life and will continue to do so.
Mr. Bennett has been so amazing. I have a bad history with counselors that judge and make me feel uncomfortable. Mr. Bennett has never made me feel that way. He has seen me at some very bad times in my life and I never felt bad after talking to him, always better and motivated to do better. He has always been very professional and understanding. He's helped me with my self esteem, helped me tremendously with my recovery and has shown me a new way to speak to myself in a kind and loving way. There's no other counselor that I would want. Anyone that's seeking a kind, understanding and patient counselor would want to talk to him. I will forever be grateful for his gifts of wisdom. Thank you Mr. Bennett.
Mr. Bennett has been very great with me. He has helped me with my confidence in big decisions and has supported me with my recovery from alcohol and drugs. Very highly recommended.
I love how Jeff doesn’t just give me answers or tell me what I want to hear, but rather teaches me how to process what I am feeling or thinking.
Jeff has been helping work though addictive patterns in my life that have gone unchecked for years. Two years ago they reached a point where my life was on a fast track to self-destruction. Jeff has helped to lift me out of the pit and I am thankful for the hope he has given back to my life. Jeff listens well, without judgement, and offers good tools and suggestions for rehabilitation. Mine is along road to recover but i am in a much better place than I was two years ago.
Jeff is incredibly easy to talk to, and he listens without judgement. He does not tell me how to think or feel; he asks questions and offers insight in such a way that I feel I am being guided through opportunities for discovery and growth. He is helping me to be a kinder person to not only those around me, but also to myself. He helps me to live my life more deliberately. 1000/10, would recommend to anyone considering counsel.
Jeff is a great person who listens and will acknowledge and appreciate all things and gives the best form of help. Helped me through a lot and am truly greatful
Wow! A great counselor. Responds quickly, very thorough and helps a great deal
Very helpful and great listening ear. I am grateful to have met Jeff and to be less fearful of therapy.
Jeff has been great. He has provided me many beneficial worksheets, which I love to use. He has also been great at listening and pinpointing my needs in therapy. He responds quickly.
Jeff has been extremely helpful and kind. He gives me great guidance and his words often stick with me far beyond our sessions. Our sessions together are so important to me and I believe they have changed my life for the better! Thank you, Jeff.
Amazing individual who whole heartedly cares more than you will know! Always there for me and will be for you. Jeff is someone everyone needs in their life, and the world needs more like him.
As a first time participant in therapy I begin my engagement with Jeff feeling very skeptical and not being committed to therapy. I felt like I didn't belong, or didn't need it. Jeff understood my hesitation and he never pressured me, he listened to my concerns and he asked me about why I made the decision to try therapy out. He made me feel comfortable and he put in the time to develop the trust required for me to feel comfortable speaking openly with him. Jeff created the space for me to engage in therapy at my own pace and in a way that always made me feel comfortable, I am eternally grateful for the approach he took as it allowed me to continue to take the steps I wish I had taken years ago.
Jeff is very kind and patient. The ideas he presents are simple and effective. That way I’m changing a little at a time.
Jeff is great at listening and provides helpful ideas and suggestions to consider when you are faced with something new and/or challenging.
I suffer with anxiety and depression and have for most of my 49 years. I lost my mother and originally started counseling to help me deal with the first anniversary of her death. What began as an attempt not to lose myself in grief has turned into the discovery of a happier life. I’ve been working with Jeff for almost 6 months. He is compassionate and I always leave our sessions with a feeling of accomplishment and empowerment. Due to his years of experience Jeff is a wealth of knowledge and has shared valuable coping tools that I will forever use.
Jeff has had the patience and ear I required.. he has also led me forward positively and allowed me to process my options and work through them with his guidance. Jeff has offered me a variety of ways to manage my unhappiness and anxiety. He has help me face my past, move on, and has created a space where I feel welcome and safe to talk any time. Thank you Jeff. Highly recommend.
Jeff is very helpful and kind.
He is amazing and truly dedicated. He has opened up more possibilities for myself than I ever imagined! I feel he can connect and wants to understand better to help more.
Great and careing guy
He is amazing
I find Jeff to be a responsive, supportive, knowledgeable and very thorough counsel. I have enjoyed our sessions and feel they have been helpful.
Jeff is definitely a great counselor. He’s there every step of the way and genuinely cares about what you’re going through I’d recommend him to anyone who needs help or just needs someone to listen to them.
The stigma surrounding therapy is REAL and I had extreme apprehension and doubt about starting, but Jeff has been such a blessing. He truly listens. He truly cares. I thought therapy was more like needing someone to “fix” me, but Jeff just shifts my focus to simple and practical ways for helping myself. He helps me remember that I am in control of me and I CAN live this life. I can’t say enough good things about him.
JEFF is very professional and caring. Mr. Bennett has been a saving grace for me and my family
Jeff is really good at breaking down problems I bring up to solvable steps and action items needed to go past the hurdle. He also makes sure that I remember to not put so much pressure on myself
Jeff is the best. He is so kind and caring and he listens so well that he truly understands me. The part that makes him so invaluable is that he takes the time to understand how I think and knows how to convey ideas in a way that makes sense to me. He is so honest and sincere. The help and guidance he has provided me will stay with me for the rest of my life, and I know who to go to if I have any problems. I feel very lucky to have found him.
Had a few sessions with Jeff. Eternally grateful I was matched with him- I feel more at ease, understood, not judged, and humbled. He says he cares- and that's quite apparent. I can already see improvements in my day to day existence. Thank you Jeff.
He’s one of the best. Quite frankly this platform is lucky to have him. He’s empathetic, listens, affirming in his expertise. And helps guide a path for solutions.
Me Bennett is amazing. In a very short amount of time, he has helped me realized how to fix the issues that has been plaguing me for years. He is incredibly kind, non judging, and very understanding. He guides you in finding your way to a healthier you. I highly recommend him.
Jeff is amazing! He has helped me walk through one of the most traumatic experiences of my life. He is very patient and an active and supportive listener. His support and guidance have been helping me get to know myself better while recovering from post-relationship grief and trauma. He always listens to what my concerns are and helps me see them in a more helpful light. The materials (worksheets, books, information, etc.) he shared with me have been very valuable and he encourages and inspires me to do my work such as journaling helping me cope with the grief and loss.
Jeff offers genuine care and total attention together with the warmth of a father-like character, someone you can fully trust. It's easy to feel that he really listened and wanted to understand where my issues came from. We worked together for about 5 months and I have seen huge improvement in myself. I started out like a victim but finished like a victor. Thanks to Jeff's experience and deep understanding. His knowledge of the Bible, his faith in Christ and his non-judgmental Christian view have also helped me a lot in my spirituality and my walk with God. I'm forever grateful. Thank you!
Jeff is a true gem for this site! He is a great listener and is very helpful about figuring out what is best for your goals. He has made my first time experience with therapy comfortable.
Jeff has been a steady hand through stormy waters. As I have come to terms with reality of being a recovering addict Jeff has been there as a faithful guide and listening ear. he has helped me open a conversation with myself that has shown me how I can change. We've met once a week for several months now and built a professional relationship of trust where I feel able to share dark secrets I have carried on my own for a long time. In turn, this has helped me reach out to others and I now have a stronger network of friends who are helping me on my road to recovery.
I was in serious need of someone to guide me through grieving my husband’s death, and to coach me out of years of self neglect from being a chronic caregiver. Jeff and I texted a lot prior to our first productive video session. Then I hit a big wall of stress and wanted to run away as usual. Jeff was SO patient, kind, and empathetic. Acknowledging my anxiety issues, we adapted goal setting. I’m learning new skill sets to survive a difficult past. Some include, celebrating accomplishments, being a better role model for my children, and care for myself along the way. Admittedly, I’m not easy to work with, Jeff has gained my trust and confidence. Most importantly I feel hope. I’d forgotten how that feels.
Although Jeff and I are fairly new to working together, he’s been nothing but a supporting rock. He has such a kind soul that is so welcoming and you know he cares and wants to be there for you. And for a lot of us seeking help, that’s something that’s very important to us. He’s not afraid to dig deep and make you realize that your life is yours to control, but will give you great tips to rein in the anxiety and stress and succeed. He’s honestly great.
I have had struggles with the platform and options, but Jeff has been the saving grace.
Great help and very well timed responses. Jeff is a pleasure and would recommend to anyone I know seeking a helping hand.
I immediately felt very calmed by and cared for when speaking to Jeff for the first time.
Jeff is an amazing listener and really takes all of your worries and concerns helps you cope with them in your daily life. He’s very committed to making his clients feel comfortable and safe to be one hundred percent honest in every session.
