Abby is truly one of a kind. A great listener and has a steal trap of a memory. She will remind me of things that happened to ME that relate to issues I’m discussing and tie them together to give me new perspectives and it just really helps me see things clearer. 5/5

Hello and welcome to Better Help. You have taken a huge step towards healing, and I am so glad that you are here!

My name is Abby Pease and I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the state of Missouri. I earned both my Bachelors and Masters of Social Work degree from the University of Missouri (GO TIGERS!). I have worked in a variety of settings including community organizations, schools, in home, and hospital settings. Over the past five years, I have had the pleasure to work with individuals and families with dealing with depression, anxiety, trauma, abuse, addictions, relationship struggles, family issues, increasing stress, and more.

My style of therapy is supportive, direct, and honest. I truly believe that to get the most out of our work together, it is imperative to be real and transparent with one another. I understand that trust can be difficult to develop at times (myself included), but I strongly believe that it is incredibly important to connect and feel comfortable with the person you choose to share your personal struggles. I have worked with a multitude of clients from various backgrounds and experiences, so no judgments here! Together, we will explore your hopes and goals for growth, and skillfully address the barriers that are keeping you from reaching your full potential!

I look forward to working with you!

Online counseling, also known as teletherapy, is a method of delivering mental health services through digital means such as video conferencing, phone calls, or messaging platforms. It can be an ideal option for individuals who have difficulty accessing traditional therapy due to geographical distance, time constraints, or personal preferences like privacy and comfort. Many people find it easier to open up from the familiarity of their own space.

Teletherapy has been found to be highly effective, with studies showing that it can produce similar outcomes to in-person therapy, particularly for issues like anxiety, depression, and PTSD. The flexibility and accessibility it offers make it a valuable alternative to conventional therapy settings.
