More about Greg

  • 9 years' experience
  • Male
  • LPC

I am a licensed Counselor who has been providing help and hope to people for the last 9 years in a variety of settings and situations from private practice to rehabs and psych wards. I have partnered with individuals to work on depression, anxiety, relationships, addiction, trauma and chronic mental health. I also enjoy assisting people doing "okay" to do even better with performance coaching in a variety of areas including athletics, career, and personal growth.

So how does counseling typically work? I believe a warm, empathetic, and supportive environment is critical for successful change. That all starts with getting to know each other and making sure you feel comfortable and safe so that we can actually talk through the real issues without fear of being judged. Often this leads to new ideas and tools that can be used to make lasting positive changes. The other important ingredients are accountability and feedback so that we can really see if things are getting better or not. Most of the techniques and theories that I use are rooted in a strength-based and practical approach including brief counseling, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, motivational interviewing, and cognitive behavioral therapy.

It takes courage to seek a more fulfilling and happier life and to take the first steps towards a change. If you are ready to take that step I am here to support and empower you.

I look forward to working with you!

Online counseling allows you to receive care from a mental health practitioner via phone, video chat, or instant messaging. It is convenient for those who may have trouble getting to or would prefer not to have in-person therapy appointments. Starting at $65 per week, online counseling is generally more affordable than in-person counseling. A study by researchers at University of California, Berkeley found that online counseling can be just as effective as face-to-face therapy while being more convenient, affordable, and accessible.

One obstacle for traditional counseling is simply finding counselors and getting started. This flexible format allows those seeking counseling to quickly connect to excellent qualified counselors. Sometimes your time of need is not a convenient time to set up an in-person counseling session, but Faithful Counseling has made a way to get help when and where you need it. I am extremely thankful.

Greg is in a word Awesome.... I'll be honest I never thought talking to someone could make a real difference. IT HAS. I've been plagued with anxiety for 25 years or so. It had gotten worse lately, even the Lorazepam wasnt working as well. I was tired of feeling this way all the time and so was my Wife. I knew I needed to do something. Better Help was the first site I clicked on and I'm glad I did. Greg has really really helped me using various techniques, honest feedback and setting goals. Anxiety is still there however it is way more manageable and becoming more and more unnoticeable. Greg = 10. My only complaint is Greg is always stealing the last parking spot (inside joke)

Reviewed January 2022

Greg is an excellent listener, kind, and intelligent. Sometimes I’m left in awe of the ease with which he cuts to the core of both “simple" and “complicated” issues alike. The feedback he gives me in our discussions makes me feel heard, and the self-homework he assigns between sessions allow me to distill what we have discussed and begin thought-starters for our next session. I took a break from Betterhelp, but when I returned, I didn’t even think of finding a new therapist, I went right back to Greg because I already knew he was a great fit for me.

Dear Greg. I wanted to share this with you via our next conversation and I didn't realise another month has gone by. Thank you helping me get past my obstacles. It's been a wonderful experience and very valuable to me. When I started with this I honestly thought I was going to stay stuck as my previous attempts to get help always resulted in disappointment because of the long term issues I had with my childhood being so ingrained. Your approach to counseling made it very easy on me and I've had several breakthroughs over the last few months to the point where I can actually take a break from from counseling. I hope I don't need to come back ha! But I know that if I ever needed to you'll be able to help me. Cheers!

I have past bad experiences with a male counselor. For that reason I have only seen female counselors over the years and the results have been dismal in different ways. When I decided to give counseling another go, I decided to try something different (going away from definition of insanity). Greg really seems to be taking steps to both validate and appreciate my concerns and past issues. He really listens and makes sure that I feel safe, heard and am in control during it all.
