Heather is very thoughtful, attentive, and accommodating. She has a lot of experience dealing with a wide gamut of issues, and that is evident from the first messages. Heather also invests the time beyond what can normally be expected from a therapist. Her robust interest in my perspective has helped me work through quite complex blind spots I've had in my outlook.

I have been a counselor for nearly a decade and obtained a Master of Education in Community Counseling from University of Missouri St. Louis. I sought certification in perinatal mental health because it is my passion to help individuals who are struggling with fertility challenges, mood changes in pregnancy, difficult delivery/labor, pregnancy loss, and postpartum changes. Psychological health is related to healthy levels of self-worth and I believe that every person has many ways they can find value in themselves. Practicing from a person-centered lens, I value the client's perspective and experience while understanding the importance of a therapeutic alliance. I provide a non-judgmental, authentic, and genuine approach to therapy. I have experience and training in areas such as:

-Anxiety

It is convenient for those who may have trouble getting to or would prefer not to have in-person therapy appointments. Starting at $65 per week, online counseling is generally more affordable than in-person counseling. A study by researchers at University of California, Berkeley found that online counseling can be just as effective as face-to-face therapy while being more convenient, affordable, and accessible.
