I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in New York with over 10 years of experience working as a Social Worker, psychotherapist, Social work supervisor, and life coach. I have worked in several different settings including foster care, a group residence, a domestic violence shelter, schools, an assisted living home, outpatient mental health clinics as well as private practice. I have worked with clients with a wide range of concerns and personal goals. I enjoy being able to work with people who are desiring to identify their purpose, build their self esteem and confidence, and learn more about themselves throughout the process.

My counseling style is eclectic, engaging and interactive. I believe that every person deserves to have someone that they can talk to, gain insight from and connect with that will not interfere with their daily living. Family and friends are great supports and often times will provide what they think we want them to provide and not what we really want or what really need. I like to create personal and professional goals with individuals based on their interests, opinions, and skills not based on other people's opinions of them. I often will use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Rational Emotive Therapy with a humanistic and solution focused approach.

Everyone benefits from being able to have a coach, a therapist, someone on their side. I would love to be able to work with you and assist you in being the best version of yourself.

Online counseling, also known as teletherapy, is a method of delivering mental health services through digital means such as video conferencing, phone calls, or messaging platforms. It can be an ideal option for individuals who have difficulty accessing traditional therapy due to geographical distance, time constraints, or personal preferences like privacy and comfort. Many people find it easier to open up from the familiarity of their own space.

Teletherapy has been found to be highly effective, with studies showing that it can produce similar outcomes to in-person therapy, particularly for issues like anxiety, depression, and PTSD. The flexibility and accessibility it offers make it a valuable alternative to conventional therapy settings.

The best therapist

Reviewed September 2021

Suzanne is extremely understanding and knowledgeable. She truly listens to me and helps get to the root of my thoughts; and then provides me with additional resources to learn from and continue advancing my thought process. I would definitely recommend her to anyone struggling with anxiety, self esteem, or familial issues.

I had tried therapy a few times before signing up for BetterHelp and never liked the experience. The conversations felt forced and awkward. My experience with Suzanne could not have been more different. From the get go she made me feel so comfortable and safe to talk about whatever I wanted. Any time I was upset I felt the empathy coming out of the screen! She really felt for me and listened keenly. Not only was she a good ear but she also regularly reminded me of my therapy goals so I wasn’t just using the our time to vent. She has a great deal of experience and professional certifications which made me trust her even more. She helped me come up with mantras to be kinder to myself and challenged me to name my feelings and thoughts and make sense of my habits and patterns. I had to end therapy because I quit my job to go travel and don’t have steady income. If and when I’m back at a stable job I’ll be sure to connect with Suzanne again. I could not recommend her more !
