More about Elizabeth

I believe that everyone deserves time and a safe space for self-care, where individuals can be heard without judgement. I also believe that everyone deserves to work through concerns while feeling supported when making difficult decisions.

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and I have been working in mental health for almost 20 years. I have worked with people who have been diagnosed with: Bi-polar, depression, anxiety, mood disorders, PTSD, ADHD, and life-limiting medical illnesses, as well as people dealing with grief, phobias, relationship and school issues. I have worked in community, inpatient, outpatient and hospital settings. I like to utilize a variety of treatment modalities because I have found that a “one size fits all” approach to mental health, is about as relatable to most people as a one size fits all bathing suit. I am proud of you for reaching out and I look forward to working with you.

Online counseling, also known as teletherapy, is a method of delivering mental health services through digital means such as video conferencing, phone calls, or messaging platforms. It can be an ideal option for individuals who have difficulty accessing traditional therapy due to geographical distance, time constraints, or personal preferences like privacy and comfort. Many people find it easier to open up from the familiarity of their own space.

Teletherapy has been found to be highly effective, with studies showing that it can produce similar outcomes to in-person therapy, particularly for issues like anxiety, depression, and PTSD. The flexibility and accessibility it offers make it a valuable alternative to conventional therapy settings.

Elizabeth has been there for me during a really challenging time in my life. She gave me exactly what I needed; someone to non-judgmentally and empathetically listen to my story, rather than trying to fix all of my problems. While it is wonderful that I have now gained the skills and confidence to venture out on my own, I will miss our weekly chats.

Reviewed December 2020

Elizabeth is very responsive. She respects her clients and truly listens to their stories. She truly cares.

Reviewed August 2020

Liz is the kindest, most competent, and most down to earth therapist I have ever worked with. She's flexible and caring, and I have been able to share things with her I have never been able to share with anyone. She is a total professional, but you also feel personally supported by her. I highly recommend her if you are deeply struggling (as I have been) and need someone who actually knows what they're talking about. Thank you for not giving up on me, Liz!

Reviewed July 2020

Elizabeth makes me feel comfortable sharing my thoughts, which helps me in so many ways. She has helped me to feel validated and supported. I really appreciate her input as well.

Reviewed May 2020

Elizabeth is always very responsive to my questions and concerns. She listens and cares about people. Most importantly, she knows how to help you. She’s the best!

Reviewed April 2020

Working with Elizabeth has been great. I was seeking therapy because I knew that I needed a new perspective and a person who could ask me questions I hadn't thought to ask myself and questions I was too afraid to ask myself. She has jumped right in and has been so thoughtful and caring in her responses. I'm still adjusting to the pace and expectations of online therapy, but I already find her to be an important part of my support system and a person that I can trust.
