Robert is kind, intelligent and is constantly making me think and see things in different ways. He has helped me build better boundaries and not be so hard on myself when I cannot uphold them every time and reminds me I am human! He’s very understanding and knowledgeable. He actually understands anxiety and social anxiety and NEVER makes me feel judged or bad about having to cancel video chats due to anxiety hitting me and needing space.

I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in the state of Washington with several years of experience working with a number of mental health issues including Depression, anxiety, Trauma, OCD, Bipolar, Grief and Loss, Relationship Issues, Family conflicts, and have worked as a part of crisis outreach team after a natural disaster.

I approach everyone that I work with from a space of acceptance, respect, and compassion. Through communication I do my best to create an atmosphere of safety and warmth where my client can feel free to express anything that they may need to express. I approach counseling from a humanistic perspective and include existential analysis, acceptance, and working through Narratives, and utilize behavioral and mindfulness techniques. Every instance of my communication will be individualized and specific to your needs.

With this platform you will have access to your "therapy room" 24 hours a day 7 days a week. That is a wonderful thing because as issues happen you have the ability to share what you need to. I will always respond to your messages in as timely a manner as possible. As quickly and as often as schedules permit.

I know that the idea of counseling and change can oftentimes be intimidating and so the decision to take this step is one that requires courage and openness. I will be here to support and empower you when you are ready and thank you for the opportunity to share this work with you.

Online counseling, also known as teletherapy, is a method of delivering mental health services through digital means such as video conferencing, phone calls, or messaging platforms. It can be an ideal option for individuals who have difficulty accessing traditional therapy due to geographical distance, time constraints, or personal preferences like privacy and comfort. Many people find it easier to open up from the familiarity of their own space.

Teletherapy has been found to be highly effective, with studies showing that it can produce similar outcomes to in-person therapy, particularly for issues like anxiety, depression, and PTSD. The flexibility and accessibility it offers make it a valuable alternative to conventional therapy settings.

Robert has been an excellent guide in helping me navigate rough patches in my life. He is very responsive, easy to talk to, and asks very thoughtful questions to get me out of stuck states or get me to reframe a problem I'm having. I would definitely recommend Robert for someone who doesn't just want to be listened to, but needs active feedback to help you along.

Robert responds very quickly in a very professional manner and is very good at getting to the heart of the matter quickly. He's razor focused on finding ways for me to cope and address the issues I am having without judgment or ennabling bad behavior. I feel comfortable, respected, and truly helped. I'm impressed; I have had real-world therapists who didn't help me as much or as quickly as Robert. I highly recommend him.

Being able to do therapy on my time, to access therapy whenever something comes up or to mind is a therapy game changer. Robert replies quickly and very consistently. And his replies reflect great care and understanding of his field as well as his time and effort put in to my individual sessions. We have covered more ground in just a few weeks than months of traditional therapy in office in the past. This has been by far the best therapy experience I have had. BetterHelp therapy platform + a great therapist like Robert Jensen is therapy gold.

I am quite pleased with your online approach to counseling, in general and with Mr. Jensen, in particular. The ability to share and respond at my convenience makes counseling even an option for me. I no longer have to worry about whether or not I can "make" an appointment or if I have time to cancel one. Mr. Jensen, in particular, responds to my e-mails in an amazingly prompt manner. These responses have always been spot-on, friendly and caring, with helpful observations and suggestions for further thought on various situations. I have enjoyed the experience so far and believe it has already helped clarify more than enough stuff to justify the effort.

Reviewed November 2017

Robert was very patient and receptive to my needs, and I appreciated the action steps he suggested I take since it gave me the guidance I needed to face the situation I was in. His help was personalized and he was articulate in summarizing my problems and some things he took away from what I told him. It helped me see the same situation from a different, healthier perspective, and I am grateful for it.

Mr. Jensen has been of huge help to me during my "crisis" dealing with family. He has kept in touch with me and was always quick to respond to my very long winded and detailed emails - which I found to be the easiest way for me to communicate. I have a hard time sometimes voicing my thoughts on a phone and am better getting to the root of things in writing. He gave me sound advice and led me in the direction of acceptance in the things I can and cannot control. Literally, in my time of need he was a God send and I am very thankful for his service!
