I have been in therapy with Monica for about 6-7 months and she has been lovely. I’ve struggled a long time with family issues, body issues, and a lot of anxiety as I move through building a small business, and just navigating my life. Monica has given me really helpful tools that are becoming a part of my everyday practice. I’m very thankful to have had this opportunity. Thank you, Monica.

I have been a client of Monica’s for five months now, receiving tele-therapy counseling services. Monica’s genuineness coupled with her ability to meet people where they are with compassion, empathy and acceptance is what makes her such an excellent counselor. I always appreciate the realness and integrity she brings when I get to meet with her. Monica is not only someone I feel comfortable talking to, but I can be my authentic self with. After speaking with her I feel as though I have not only been heard but have learned a new set of tools to curb my negative thinking patterns and thoughts. She is wonderful at dealing with anxiety, depression, and relationship issues as she has an innate knack for bringing you back to reality and recognizing harmful/destructive behaviors. I highly recommend!

Everyone has the potential to live their most empowered life. Sometimes, situations and events make it difficult to move forward. I'm here to help.

As a counselor, my goal is to serve the whole person, to help my clients challenge their beliefs and find hope and purpose. I am a fully licensed and Nationally Certified Counselor as well as a Clinically Certified Anxiety Treatment Professional. I work with my clients to identify thought-processes, triggers, and historical situations that have played a part in the discomfort they are feeling. I see both individuals and couples using an Integrative therapy approach. My experience includes working with a variety of clients dealing with: stress and anxiety, depression, grief and trauma, body image, and relationship discord.

I hold a master's degree in Counseling from Eastern Michigan University. I regularly present at conferences about the effects of anxiety in school-aged children and adults, and I own a website and host a podcast called MindGal aimed at erasing the stigma around mental health.

I understand that it can be a difficult and vulnerable experience to see a Counselor. My goal is to provide a safe, judgment-free space to express your emotions and explore your thoughts and behaviors. My purpose is to help guide you in your journey for self-discovery and empowerment.

Online counseling, also known as teletherapy, is a method of delivering mental health services through digital means such as video conferencing, phone calls, or messaging platforms. It can be an ideal option for individuals who have difficulty accessing traditional therapy due to geographical distance, time constraints, or personal preferences like privacy and comfort. Many people find it easier to open up from the familiarity of their own space.

Teletherapy has been found to be highly effective, with studies showing that it can produce similar outcomes to in-person therapy, particularly for issues like anxiety, depression, and PTSD. The flexibility and accessibility it offers make it a valuable alternative to conventional therapy settings.
