More about Zach

  • 8 years' experience

  • LPC

I am a licensed professional counselor (LPC) and a substance abuse counselor (SAC) in Wisconsin with over 6 years of experience as a counselor and a case manager. I have worked with clients living with depression and anxiety symptoms, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, alcohol and other drug use disorders, parenting difficulties, relationship issues, sleep disorders, obsessive compulsive disorder, and attention-deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD). I have extensive experience working with individuals who have experienced homelessness as well as childhood trauma and domestic violence.

My counseling person-centered, meaning I try to focus on being present, empathetic, and compassionate while respecting all my clients and being sensitive to cultural needs. My approach combines person-centered therapy with motivational interviewing techniques as well as solution-focused techniques and cognitive-behavioral therapy tailored specifically to each client's needs. It shows great strength to reach out for help when you feel like you're struggling. Thank you for taking the time to reach out for help through counseling services.

I look forward to working with you!

Online counseling, also known as teletherapy, is a method of delivering mental health services through digital means such as video conferencing, phone calls, or messaging platforms. It can be an ideal option for individuals who have difficulty accessing traditional therapy due to geographical distance, time constraints, or personal preferences like privacy and comfort. Many people find it easier to open up from the familiarity of their own space.

Teletherapy has been found to be highly effective, with studies showing that it can produce similar outcomes to in-person therapy, particularly for issues like anxiety, depression, and PTSD. The flexibility and accessibility it offers make it a valuable alternative to conventional therapy settings.

Reviewed December 2020

Zach is great. He has a more relaxed approach than a clinical one which I personally find to be helpful when talking about certain issues. He has never been a judge or a jury, just a helpful voice to talk to, to vent to and who, by the end of every session, leaves me with something to look forward to in the way of my own self-care.

Reviewed December 2020

He is an understanding and helpful Clinician. I would recommend him to anyone I know!

Reviewed September 2020

Zach is so easy to talk to. I’ve only had a couple sessions with him but I feel like he is really there for me and really listens. I like that he notices things that I may not have noticed myself while I’m talking with him. He’s great at sending messages or information to help you out even more.
