Hi There!

My name is Danielle Finch and I'm a Licensed Independent Social Worker in the state of Ohio. I obtained my Bachelor's Degree in Psychology from Otterbein College and graduated with my Master's degree from The Ohio State University in 2011.

Counseling is a path I felt compelled to follow since I was a young adult. Over the past 9 years, I’ve practiced in a variety of settings, but never lost the desire to help others meet their goals and become the best version of themselves. I have experience working with children, adolescents and adults.

I strongly believe in meeting people where they’re at in their own journey. You are the expert on you! Sometimes we just need a little extra support along the path of healing and self-discovery. I believe counseling works best if the process is collaborative. My theoretical approach is eclectic in nature: I often utilize pieces of cognitive behavioral, solution focused and person-centered therapies.

In the past, I’ve worked with individuals coping with anxiety, depression, substance abuse/dependence, PTSD, relationship problems, ADHD, ODD, phase of life transitions and trauma. I also strongly enjoy working with couples seeking to rebuild or strengthen their relationship.

In my spare time I enjoy exploring new restaurants, staying physically active, attending concerts, travelling with my husband and chasing my young daughter around the house. My husband and I love to cook, so in the evenings you’ll often find me in the supportive role of sous chef in our kitchen.

I look forward to hearing from you, learning more about you and helping to be a supportive figure in your path towards healing and self-discovery.

Online counseling allows you to receive care from a mental health practitioner via phone, video chat, or instant messaging. It is convenient for those who may have trouble getting to or would prefer not to have in-person therapy appointments. Starting at $65 per week, online counseling is generally more affordable than in-person counseling. A study by researchers at University of California, Berkeley found that online counseling can be just as effective as face-to-face therapy while being more convenient, affordable, and accessible.
