Welcome! Sometimes life is hard and it is easiest to just lie down and let life happen to us. But because you’re here, I know that there is something within you that realizes that while this may work for a season, it will not lead you towards the happiness you seek nor the life you desire to live. Something within you recognizes that this is a moment to seize. This is a moment that has the potential to bring about invaluable self-discovery that could inspire great change.
It is through times of difficulty that we are able to discover the true strength and courage within us. Already you are showing such courage! You have chosen to gain understanding of yourself through whatever challenge you may be facing currently, rather than allowing it to dictate who you are in this world. Owning our own stories is an endeavor worth pursuing. Will it be easy? Not always. Will it be worth it? A thousand times, yes!! I would love to walk with you and support you in your pursuit.
I am a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor and have 15 years of counseling experience. I am also a Certified Life Coach through the International Coach Federation and have been coaching individuals for two years. Working with clients is something that I truly enjoy. My past and present experiences as a school counselor, a therapist and a life coach have provided me with invaluable experience working with clients of all ages from children to adults, helping them as they process through various experiences and/or reach to achieve goals they have set for themselves. Through these positions, I have worked with individuals and families dealing with such issues as relationships, grief, divorce, anxiety, depression, social difficulties, anger, teen pregnancy, abuse (physical and sexual), rape, trauma, careers and academics.
My counseling style is person-centered, meaning that the relationship that we build together is instrumental in helping you to realize your dreams and goals. I will work diligently to foster a safe, honest and caring relationship between us where you have the freedom to fully be yourself and find acceptance in me. Also subscribing to a narrative therapy approach, I believe that the stories we tell ourselves and the meaning we ascribe to the events taking place in our lives have great significance on how one chooses (or not chooses) to deal with life circumstances. So, I’m very curious to know your story. In the grand scheme of life, what story is being told about you and how do you feel about it? Do you believe that you have the ability/power to re-write that story (if need be) to promote a greater sense of self-confidence, identity and satisfaction with your current and/or future life circumstances?
Please consider me a guide as you navigate your own personal path of self-exploration. As your story unfolds, I will listen and not judge. I will ask questions to help us both gain better understanding. It is my hope to support, empower and encourage you in the actualization of the goals that you determine are the most important for self-fulfillment at this stage of your life. I would be honored to have you share your story with me and come alongside as you seek to take your rightful position as the hero.

Online counseling allows you to receive care from a mental health practitioner via phone, video chat, or instant messaging. It is convenient for those who may have trouble getting to or would prefer not to have in-person therapy appointments. Starting at $65 per week, online counseling is generally more affordable than in-person counseling. A study by researchers at University of California, Berkeley found that online counseling can be just as effective as face-to-face therapy while being more convenient, affordable, and accessible.

My experience with Shannon has been very positive! She creates an environment that effectively balances her insight with your thoughts. Further, she's polite yet relatable - all while helping you meet your therapeutic goals from a Biblical perspective.
Shannon is great! Very personable and kind. Easy to share with and talk to. Peace and blessings to you!
I love Ms. Shannon Hannah for strengthening and continuing to strengthen my mental health -
Always a pleasure to communicate with Shannon!
Ms. Shannon is a beautiful needle in a haystack of cookie cutter therapists. She individualizes things for my particular needs, she goes out of her way to know about, not only the negatives that I am combating, but the positives in my life that make me motivated to be better. She checks on me regularly if I am not reaching out to her, which makes me feel as though I am not simply a “number” that she is treating - but a lost soul that Ms. Shannon is gently guiding back towards the correct path ..... I am very blessed to have found her -
Shannon has been so helpful. She truly understood me and gave me really helpful and practical ways to approach how I thought about situations and what I could do to help change things. She is really easy to talk to.
Shannon is the best! Thanks.
Shannon is probably the best therapist I have had thus far after 10 years in therapy. Her techniques are effective and I feel I am making actual progress with my truth and not how I should feel. She goes beyond traditional therapy and I would recommend her if you want a therapist to help your make progress and really validate where you are. She is very hard working and uses new techniques. You will have a better experience than with traditional therapy alone.
She is outstanding! What I've appreciated most is how perceptive she is. I struggle to admit what I'mreally thinking, even when I know its safe to do so. Shannon was exactly who I needed. She is alert to moments when I wanted to say more but couldn't find the strength (or words). Further her suggestions were always on point. She has truly been an amazing counselor
Ms. Shannon is amazing. Her counseling style makes me feel heard and seen. I struggle with validation often, but in our sessions I feel validated.
Shannon has been a great experience so far. She’s an awesome listener and offer great thought provoking feedback. Shannon makes me feel reassured that things will get better.
Ms. Shannon is a blessing to whom ever is fortunate enough to have her guide you through your therapeutic journey-
Shannon makes me feel safe to express myself and she offers tools tailored to my specific needs. I’m grateful I found a great therapist who I feel comfortable sharing my thoughts and feelings.
Shannon is kind, patient, understanding and really shows that she cares about you. She really helps with getting you through difficult times of your life. As the Tina Tunee song says....she’s simple the best, better than all the rest! I would highly suggest giving her a chance! You won’t regret it.
I want to say Shannon is a great listener.
Shannon has been a life saver this past year. She has been a wonderful resource for me, and a safe place to share concerns. I'm so grateful to have found her through Better Help, and look forward to continuing working with her.
Very grateful for her help in navigating how to approach my family!
Shannon is absolutely saving me. I cannot imagine my life without her now.
I have seen numerous counselors in my life and none of them have made a difference in my life like Shannon Hannah. She understands my concerns and troubles, and offers guidance without judgment. I mean it when I say she is the absolute best counselor I have ever had in my entire life. Look no further if you want an exceptional counselor that will change your life.
She is 100 times better than my first therapist. I feel listened too. I look forward to talking to her. I believe I am getting better.
Shannon Hannah has been an empathetic listener and gives very practical insight.
Shannon makes you do some self reflection. Think about some things in depth and help you figure out the root of issues you are facing. She is encouraged and shows sympathy.
Shannon and I recently had our first live session. It went extremely well.
She's awesome!
Shannon is a wonderful counselor and person. I will definitely utilize this platform again!
I’ve thoroughly enjoyed this process and really appreciate Shannon’s kindness, understanding and expertise. She has been outstanding I will definitely take advantage of this service if I ever need it in the future. Thanks for everything!
Shannon takes her time getting to know you, really listening for the first several live sessions. At first I thought she just didn’t have any insights, but the truth is, she’s just being very attentive and deliberate. Now, I’m so grateful for her patience and wisdom. She’s done so much so gently to help me, I hardly even noticed it was making a difference until I looked at how my habits had changed.
For the first session I was more energized and less paralyzed to move forward with my counseling goals. Looking forward to the next session in a month.
Shannon is fantastic, and I love that she responds when I need help. I’m so grateful for her
Shannon is a GodSend. During one of the most difficult times in my life, Shannon has shown me that I am not alone. She has and continues to give me strength, knowledge, encouragement, and prayer. She is a blessing beyond words.
Ms. Shannon is God sent. I was having relationship issues and work relation issues. I often keep to myself so I was hesitant to do counseling with a person I don't really know well(especially online). Better Help matched me up perfectly for me as I wanted someone who could relate to my background. Ms. Shannon told me about her expertise from the start. In my tough situation she was never judgemental and was just a wealth of knowledge and support. I am greatly appreciative of her and would recommend her highly.
Great experience this far. I have told others about how convenient and legitimate it is.
Shannon is understanding, supportive, and she has been amazing at guiding me through what I've been feeling while validating my experiences. I am so beyond grateful that got matched with Shannon. She really helped me get through a difficult crisis in my life!
It's slow going but I think because I have no idea where to start and I have pushed so much stuff down she is slowly helping me unpack it. She listens well and sounds genuinely concerned or interested in what I have to say.
I’m so grateful that I was matched with Shannon. I deal with a lot of anxiety, and self confidence. Shannon is kind, understanding, and most of all helpful. She always presents options, and different perspectives. She’s supportive, and I look forward to our sessions, because I know she’s got my back.
