Online counseling, also known as teletherapy, is a method of delivering mental health services through digital means such as video conferencing, phone calls, or messaging platforms. It can be an ideal option for individuals who have difficulty accessing traditional therapy due to geographical distance, time constraints, or personal preferences like privacy and comfort. Many people find it easier to open up from the familiarity of their own space.

Teletherapy has been found to be highly effective, with studies showing that it can produce similar outcomes to in-person therapy, particularly for issues like anxiety, depression, and PTSD. The flexibility and accessibility it offers make it a valuable alternative to conventional therapy settings.

I was quite specific in what I asked for as wanted solution focused therapy instead of person centred counselling. I was matched with Mark and it was an excellent match. Mark has really delivered what I had asked for in helping me find solutions. Using worksheets etc. Goal setting etc . Mark is very relatable, down to earth and has a good sense of humour. Very relaxed and put me at my ease.

Reviewed June 2021

I feel very safe sharing with Mark, and love his methodology. I feel supported in my own discoveries, he lets me figure things out on my own and simply guides me through certain things whenever he feels necessary. Sometimes I do feel like he holds back certain things, but I always feel like it's in a "saying this now would not be productive and it'll be better if he figures it out on his own" sort of way. All in all he is a great counselor and I am really happy to have been matched with him.
