Online counseling, also known as teletherapy, is a method of delivering mental health services through digital means such as video conferencing, phone calls, or messaging platforms. It can be an ideal option for individuals who have difficulty accessing traditional therapy due to geographical distance, time constraints, or personal preferences like privacy and comfort. Many people find it easier to open up from the familiarity of their own space.

Teletherapy has been found to be highly effective, with studies showing that it can produce similar outcomes to in-person therapy, particularly for issues like anxiety, depression, and PTSD. The flexibility and accessibility it offers make it a valuable alternative to conventional therapy settings.

Sara has been a great help with starting therapy back up. She listens and challenges you to think about things in a different light - in the best way possible. Would highly recommend her.

Reviewed January 2023

Sara is the most amazing therapist! I have a couple therapists in the past that were very good but not quite the right fit for me and I really wanted someone to challenge and push me. She is such a perfect balance of that person to challenge me while validating and listening and empathetizing with everything I say and go through. She asks questions that make me think and actually look at my own thought processing, beliefs of the world and my inner world and self, and my actions. I never feel like I am "on the stand" or have to prove my thoughts or feelings but I am directed to challenge myself and I see real, lasting change! I have grown and healed more with her as my therapist for the short time we have already been together than I have in the 3 years of therapy I was in before her! I highly, highly recommend her!

Sara has helped me over a year ago with my anxiety and with my life events now, I needed to come back to her for advice and for someone to listen to me. Betterhelp couldn't have chosen a better person for me to talk to. She's LGBTQIA+ friendly which is great for me. I need someone to understand and respect my life. Sara is amazing!

Sara is professional, yet very easy to talk to even about the intensely personal issues with which I'm dealing. She's always very compassionate and I've never once felt judged about anything that I'm sharing. I've found this trait to be a rare one in therapists and for that reason (among many others), I would highly recommend her!

Reviewed September 2021

Sara has been an absolute life saver. I started seeing her a little over a month ago, almost two months, and since then I don't feel like I'm crumbling like I did before. Before Sara, I was in and out of the doctor's office, admitted myself into a psychiatric hospital, and was fighting the urges to crawl into a ball and cry myself to sleep. Now, I can get up every morning, eat something, play with my daughter again, and can go out and about without feeling like I need a puke bucket (just in case). Thank you so much Sara for everything. I would suggest you to everyone if I could.

In only a couple of sessions, Sara has already supported me through my PTSD more than any other method of therapy my entire life. I've tried several attempts at therapy over the years, but Sara is a great listener, honest, and she shows she understands by giving great references and worksheets throughout the week. It's not just going from session to session. She is supportive all the time! Thank you so much!
