Therapy can be a difficult step, and even more difficult to find a therapist you connect with. I work to develop a therapeutic relationship in which realizations can occur and positive changes can be made. I have experience with both group and individuals, and the intention is always to help enhance the client's current level of functioning and overall condition.
My areas of expertise include behavioral issues, childhood trauma, insecure attachments, familial issues, relationship issues, depression, and anxiety. My education is in Mental Health Counseling, and Forensic Psychology.

Online counseling, also known as teletherapy, is a method of delivering mental health services through digital means such as video conferencing, phone calls, or messaging platforms. It can be an ideal option for individuals who have difficulty accessing traditional therapy due to geographical distance, time constraints, or personal preferences like privacy and comfort. Many people find it easier to open up from the familiarity of their own space.
Teletherapy has been found to be highly effective, with studies showing that it can produce similar outcomes to in-person therapy, particularly for issues like anxiety, depression, and PTSD. The flexibility and accessibility it offers make it a valuable alternative to conventional therapy settings.

Allyson is great!
She has been fantastic
I absolutely love working with Allyson! She’s helped a lot with my anxiety & depression and I 100% recommend her.
Allyson is exactly what I needed from a counselor without me knowing it. I was apprehensive about starting therapy and didn't know what to expect. She has listened, challenged, and supported me every step of the way. I'm being pushed to be better while simultaneously being reassured firmly. She doesn't let me lie to myself or BS at all which I really appreciate. Couldn't recommend enough!
I absolutely love Allyson. She’s really helped me through my anxiety and helped me work on getting a better relationship with family. I highly recommend her.
Allyson is very sweet and genuine! She listens to me and my concerns. She helps me get through things piece by piece rather than a huge chunk at a time and it’s helped immensely! Anything I want to work on, she makes that the focus of the day and adds in normal conversation towards the bottom of each message, which makes it easier to talk.
Allyson offers a great perspective and I absolutely loved working with her. She was very helpful and played a huge role in harmonizing and stabilizing my emotional state. Thank you very much!
Allyson has done a wonderful job jelping me with the situation I am in. There isnt a real way to fix it but she has definitely given me the guidance and patience to head in the right direction.
Allyson provides the kind of support I need, and is helpful without seeming overbearing. She knows my concerns with what's going on in my life and my reactions. The value of a compassionate but uninvolved ear can't be overstated. Allyson asks the right questions, and our relationship has grown to the point where I will provide updates without being prompted, or about things we haven't necessarily discussed.
She is a very kind and helpful person but also a very good therapist! We've been working on my anxiety issues for a while and I can see a big improvement. Answers quickly and really listens to my problems, I've shed quite some tears during therapy but I think that is just a sign that we are working on the stuff that matters! Wonderful therapist!
She is terrific and listens closely to give the best response for all of my personal needs.
Love her advice.
I've been talking to Allyson on BetterHelp for about a year now, and I can honestly say it's been one of the best experiences of my life. I was in grad school when I started talking to her, and I just started a new job, and she's been able to lead me through all the stress and anxiety I've been dealing with. She always offered to live-chat with me, either through text or phone, and was always able to ask me questions to help me consider things in a different way. She responded very quickly, and would always check in with me if I hadn't replied in a few days. Sometimes, I just used the BetterHelp service to vent my frustrations, and she was great at just letting me do that too. I'm going to miss Allyson and the influence she's had on my life--it's amazing in the modern age someone I've never met in real life can have impacted me so much!
Wonderful support and encouragement. Highly recommend.
Early stages- Wish I'd started years ago. Allyson is really helping me untangle lots of bottled up history.
Allyson is a wonderful counselor. She's helped me ask the right questions to myself and has helped me analyze difficult situations differently than how I would have previously. I definitely feel like she has guided me to be a better version of myself. She's helped me gain confidence in my decision-making.
Allyson was exactly the therapist I needed. She is responsive, articulate, insightful and always ready to give simple and actionable advice. I highly recommend working with her.
My husband and I are jointly seeking help for marital issues. Allyson has listened to all of our concerns/issues and has been very helpful in identifying some positive measures for us to take to get our relationship back on track. The On-Line aspect of BetterHelp.com is very convenient and makes seeking help easier than having to adhere to face-to-face appointments.
Allyson has been very helpful in guiding me through issues. She listens to what I say and is thoughtful about her responses. I feel that she understands when I am frustrated and is open to discussing things without judging right and wrong.
Allyson has been a HUGE help. She's been very encouraging and has helped me try and break down the road blocks I seem to have stuck in my head with certain subjects. It has been nice to hear confirmation and affirmation of certain things I've tried to tell myself, but have a hard time believing. She has definitely been a wonderful person to talk to and receive help from.
