First, let me say I'm here for you. You've taken the first steps toward dealing with the issues that are giving you difficulty and I know this is not easy. So, good for you. My name is Jacqueline Tasca. I'm a Licensed Clinical Social Worker from New York. I received my masters in social work from Adelphi University. I've worked as a social work director for a number of years previously but I stopped because I really preferred more face to face time with my patients. I got so much more from my time counseling than being in a management position. Over my 21 years as a social worker, I've come across many people with many issues and truly have enjoyed all of my experiences as they helped form the person I am, the therapist I am. Much of my experience is working with anxiety, depression, bereavement, parenting, couples counseling, coping with change, stress management, cancer and chronic illness counseling, palliative care counseling, caregiver support and community resource and referral.

People always tell me that I'm a good listener. This is my greatest accomplishment and one I'm most proud of because as your therapist I want to HEAR you. I want to join you in your pain or difficulties and help you find your way through them. I may not have experienced what you have specifically gone through or are facing now, but I know how to find my way in to how you are feeling. Building a therapeutic rapport with you will be my first step. Trust needs to build and then most of my work is generally solution focused and cognitive-behavioral techniques. You will see that I am a caring, non-judgmental person. I would love the chance to help see you through your challenges. You've taken the first step!

I really enjoy working with Jaqueline. She is genuinely engaged in our conversations and follows up on action items from the previous week. I’ve been with Jackie for about 6-8 months now and I really enjoy it and feel like the flexibility makes it really easy to complete sessions.

I love working with Jacqueline, it’s been around a year now. We have a great rapport and she has really helped me get through tough times (still tough time and she’s still helping). She tries her best to get me in earlier with an appointment time if her schedule is booked and I really appreciate that. If I message her between our meetings, she answers me (and we nice lengthy responses). I’m grateful for that, she really cares about her patients. Thanks Jacqueline!

It's only been 2 weeks but after being in therapy before I'm very impressed with Jacqueline. She is very easy to talk to and is a good listener. She made me feel at ease the first time I met her. She is compassionate. I also enjoy her sense of humor. I thoroughly enjoy this online therapy, she answers me promptly and her comments on my journal entries make me feel so good. I could not have chosen a better counselor if I searched myself. Thanks to BetterHelp, I am very satisfied.
