Welcome! I'm a clinical social worker with over 15 years of experience helping individuals and families find greater happiness and life satisfaction. I've worked with teens and adults of all ages deal successfully with major life transitions, manage chronic health conditions, heal from grief and loss, and find relief from depression, anxiety, and adjustment problems.
One of my specialties is in bereavement counseling, and I have several years of experience leading support groups for grieving parents, spouses/partners, and adult children. In addition to office-based therapy, I've provided counseling in the home environment, in hospitals, and through web-based platforms.
It is my deep belief that we all have the potential within to achieve satisfaction and happiness in life. Monica is compassionate and a great listener. I have found her calm and considerate demeanor very helpful.
I've appreciated working with Monica. She's provided me with a listening ear and good feedback to help me help myself. Prior to therapy, I leaned heavily into my friends as listening ears and supports. Now, when I find myself going to them to talk through something, I'll pause and say I'll save it for therapy with Monica or send it in a message to her instead. Monica has helped me regain confidence and control over my life and perspective.
