Hello, my name is Jessica Ortiz. I am a licensed Marriage and Family therapist with over 16 years of experience. I am licensed in the states of California and Texas. I received my Masters in Psychology from Antioch University in 2008. I have experience working with a diverse population of clients with a wide range of clinical problems including: depression, anxiety, individual psychological problems, marital problems, and child-parent problems. I work with adults, couples, adolescents, children and families.

My goal is to help you resolve issues in your life in order for you live a healthier and happier one. I like to use cognitive and behavioral approaches to help my clients achieve their goals quicker and within a specified time. I am trained in several modalities in therapy and will adjust my approach to my client needs.

I’m here to help you resolve any issues that you are finding difficult to figure out on your own. I can provide suggestions and insight, but ultimately my goal is to empower you to feel confident in making decisions that are right for you. I am ready to help.

Online counseling, sometimes called teletherapy, refers to talk therapy delivered remotely through digital platforms, such as video calls, phone calls, or chat. It can be a great option for people who face barriers to traditional face-to-face therapy, such as those living in remote areas, individuals with mobility issues, or people with busy schedules that make it difficult to attend in-person sessions.

Teletherapy also offers greater convenience and flexibility, allowing clients to access care from the comfort of their homes. Research shows that the treatment outcomes with online counseling are often just as effective as with traditional therapy, providing a viable alternative for individuals seeking mental health support.

She’s very nice and respectful. I like talking to her because she just doesn’t side with what you’re saying, she gives you opinions and backs up with what she says by her expertise. Jessica Ortiz is someone you can open up to without feeling judge. Of course this is my first time I confided in someone and I was very nervous but not even once I felt judge. She had made me more aware of information that I didn't know and has help in all sorts of ways to cope and different ways that can help me. I can't stress enough how safe it feels to let all your thoughts out and get the guidances. She's a wonderful person I would recommend her to anyone who I know is struggling.

Reviewed December 2019

Jessica is super attentive to my time and my needs. I’m really enjoying the overall experience with my weekly interactions with her.

Reviewed November 2019

Attentive and reflective. Jessica helps me think outside of my headspace while encouraging me to take a step back and view my thoughts as a 3rd person.

Reviewed November 2019

She’s wonderful. So kind and patient. I am very lucky.

Reviewed August 2019

Jessica always listens to me and rephrases what I say, making it obvious that she really pays attention to my concerns. I like it when she asks me questions that make me reflect upon my issues, when she gives me suggestions, and I love that she says with all the letters whether she thinks my thoughts are valid or if she believes that I'm not seeing things clearly. I have had many therapists in my life and I always preferred those who give me their input. I definitely think Jessica has been very helpful in my path.

Reviewed February 2019

Jessica is so welcoming and always knows what to tell me. I like how she splits up what’s going on with me and focuses on what’s the bigger problem. She checks up on me frequently and sets time for me during the week for our sessions. I enjoy opening up to her.

Reviewed November 2018

Jessica is very patient with me and I can tell that she really listens to what I'm trying to say to help me find what's really bothering me, and she provides many forms of tools to help me work through things.
