She helped me understand a horrible situation very professionally and also with care. She helped me get my child essential help I was not sure he needed. She also helped expose very serious sexual abuse that was hidden in the church. The spiritual healing that will come out of this is priceless. I am very thankful for her help.

I am a licensed therapist (LPC) for the state of North Carolina, and have over five years of experience working with men, women, adolescents, and children of all ages. I counsel on variety of issues including, but not limited to, family violence, sexual assault/abuse, depression, anxiety, suicidal ideation, conflict resolution, multicultural issues, LGBT issues, parenting, couples counseling, and bereavement. It is my goal to provide services that will empower clients to reach their own conclusions regarding issues discussed during our counseling sessions.

I like to create a very warm and inviting experience, and approach each client with compassion, respect, and sensitivity. My approach combines different theoretical orientations such as person-centered, cognitive behavioral, dialectical behavioral, narrative, and family systems. I will adapt my counseling approach to fit your needs within our counseling sessions.

It takes a lot of strength and courage to reach out for help, and I am so glad you are here. I look forward to working with you!

Online counseling, also known as teletherapy, is a method of delivering mental health services through digital means such as video conferencing, phone calls, or messaging platforms. It can be an ideal option for individuals who have difficulty accessing traditional therapy due to geographical distance, time constraints, or personal preferences like privacy and comfort. Many people find it easier to open up from the familiarity of their own space.

Teletherapy has been found to be highly effective, with studies showing that it can produce similar outcomes to in-person therapy, particularly for issues like anxiety, depression, and PTSD. The flexibility and accessibility it offers make it a valuable alternative to conventional therapy settings.
