Moriah is probably the most patient person I have ever talked to. She has an understanding of all of my issues and offers multiple options for me in dealing with them. When I talk to Moriah I feel heard and validated in how I feel at any given time. I have hope for the first time in a long time that I just might make it through all of my gunk and get to the other side.

I know how difficult it can be dealing with depression, anxiety, and trauma. I have years of experience in treating these issues using evidenced-based approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Eye-Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR). I have almost 15 years of experience in treating a variety of concerns, including suicidal thoughts, self-harming behavior, relationship problems, and gender and sexual identity issues. I take a holistic, collaborative approach and view my clients as partners in our work together. I offer a non-judgmental perspective and can provide training in emotion regulation, mindfulness, and interpersonal skills or just be a neutral sounding board. My goal for all of my clients is that they discover a life than is meaningful and worth living. I look forward to the chance to work with you and help you reach your goals.

I have a doctorate in human and organizational psychology and am also a certified yoga instructor. I am the parent of a teen, and together we enjoy traveling, kayaking, and hiking. Additionally, I love animals and reading. I am happy to suggest books or authors that may be helpful to a particular client's situation.

Please contact me before scheduling a live session as my availability can change quickly and not be up to date.

Online counseling, also known as teletherapy, is a method of delivering mental health services through digital means such as video conferencing, phone calls, or messaging platforms. It can be an ideal option for individuals who have difficulty accessing traditional therapy due to geographical distance, time constraints, or personal preferences like privacy and comfort. Many people find it easier to open up from the familiarity of their own space.

Teletherapy has been found to be highly effective, with studies showing that it can produce similar outcomes to in-person therapy, particularly for issues like anxiety, depression, and PTSD. The flexibility and accessibility it offers make it a valuable alternative to conventional therapy settings.

Moriah has been a valuable partner as I journey through a tough part of my adult life. I really appreciate that through listening carefully to my thoughts and feelings, she has brought to my attention things that I had not realized were missing pieces to my puzzle! Moriah is really friendly and has challenged me, and I am excited to continue my personal growth journey with her.

I appreciate that she follows up with me when I don't respond for a while, it makes me feel cared for. Everything about her has made me feel excited to tackle this and soar to new places. Thank you so much!

Moriah is excellent at picking out what is going on when I am rambling. She helps me make sense of my monkey mind. Moriah has the ability to give me many different skills to try and curb my behavior as we deal with the deep-down issues. She reminds me that I am human and validates how I feel at any given time. She listens and helps me figure out my options. She encourages me not to give up. Best coach I have ever met, I tried therapy years ago, but things were going badly so I gave up. Moriah lets me know that the fact I am showing up means I am ready. We just clicked!

Moriah is attentive, responsive, non judgemental and takes a very direct approach to therapy. Highly recommended.

Moriah is top-notch. She is professional and responsive to what is going on and very patient with what I call my "Monkey Mind". She is honest and open from the beginning about how therapy is not easy and there is some hard work to do. She is right there even though it is online to help you get through. I very much appreciate her and her advice, even though I get some tough "assignments" as I call them.

Moriah has been great to work with. Not someone to just talk to, but the prompts of certain questions or statements help me refrain my thoughts and validate my feelings. This really helps figure out next steps to take.

I’ve never had a therapist that has challenged my thoughts versus being sympathetic towards them. She listens extremely well, and she supports me in ways I’ve never been shown before.

BetterHelp has helped me learn new skills and explore myself to better understand not only myself but my impact on others. As someone with bipolar, it’s not just a group of sessions needed to help me cope and grow. It’s a lifelong ebb and flow which my counselor has helped me cope with.

Reviewed September 2021

Moriah is amazing. She is compassionate, a great listener, and a great advocate for my mental health with gentle nudges, unbiased insight, and plenty of tools to help me calm down and see things more objectively. Not only does she give you the tools to help yourself in an easy to understand way, but she teaches you why you're feeling that way. I believe that understanding will help me not only cope with my emotions for the rest of my life, but I also trust when she says I can learn to re-wire those reactions and make myself a healthier than I've been in a very, very long time. I was very skeptical of this type of therapy but I'm so glad I jumped on it and I'm so glad I found her.

Reviewed September 2021

Moriah Taylor is fantastic! She is helping me breathe and grow through the most difficult year of my life. The writing format is perfect for my personality and personal needs, and Moriah's gentle nudges are always timely and so helpful.

I feel that my connection with my counselor is on a deeper level than when I’ve tried counseling services before. Too often, you never get to speak with your counselor in the heat of a moment when you need them most. With the multiple ways to connect through BetterHelp, I can connect via journaling or texting then they respond asking probing questions to help explore more. In web or phone conferences, it allows us to really connect and make meaningful insights to what’s going on. Beyond my initial need to seek counseling, I have continued because it really helps me decompress and discover more about myself.
