Amazing woman. I trust her and she’s like a walking super hero.

Karen has taken me from being a suicidal patient with no confidence to a competent, independent person with a toolbox full of tactics to tackle every challenge that comes my way. Her laid-back demeanor sets me at ease, yet she takes my issues seriously. It helps that Karen is a kindred spirit to me: she loves to travel, lives simply, and isn't opposed to moving across the country on a whim. I would highly recommend Karen to any one of my friends!

Hi! I'm Karen and I'm so happy that you've gained the courage to ask for help! I've been a counselor for 18 years, and have worked with a broad range of clients. My style is casual, but I really like to focus on problem solving. My hope is that you'll come out of your first session with a couple of tools that, if you apply them, will help relieve the problem. During every session, we build onto the foundation we've laid, increasing your tools and addressing any new issues. I'm a great listener, and am able to tease out things that might guide you to relief. Counseling is a great tool, but its a two way street - you'll have some homework and activities to do between sessions, and it's important that you fully engage in your healing. I have expertise with Military - active duty or veterans and have worked with Regular and SOF troops, spouses and families. I believe in empowerment for my clients, and my hope is that through our work together, you can heal and move through your problems with strength, integrity and grace.

Thank you so much, Karen.

I can not recommend Karen enough. She is helping me with my alcohol abuse as well as the emotions and experiences that go with it. She is completely non-judgemental. I know you're not supposed to do this to a counselor, but I would give her a big hug if I could. I really feel like she is helping to save my life.

While working with Karen, I feel as though I have been heard, but not judged. I was extremely apprehensive to engage. After having shared some things that I have traditionally been guarded about, I felt a sense of relief. I am definitely going to continue with this process. Something about it felt therapeutic.

Karen really understands my needs and has helped me come over many challenges in just a few weeks. I like her approach, I am usually flooded and overwhelmed with emotions. She has helped me address and work some ways I can release negative thought patterns. I've started with her for about 3 weeks now, since working with her I've seen many improvements in how I feel. I've been feeling much more confident about myself and, I'm finding myself returning to enjoying my hobbies again whereas for a couple past years I wasn't able to. I still have much work to do, I know with her continued support I will be to achieve my personal my goals to managing my emotions more effectively.
