Hello, my Name is Christina Laydon and I am an LICSW (Licensed Clinical Social Worker), in the state of Massachusetts . I have been working with individuals and families for 22 years and love what I do. I have worked with individuals in both in-patient and out-patient settings, who have struggled with a wide range of concerns, including depression, anxiety, mood issues, OCD, relationship issues, and parenting problems .

My counseling style is respectful and interactive. I really strive to have my clients feel comfortable and listened to. I believe in working together to try and identify desired treatment goals and manageable steps to achieve them. I meet my clients where they are at and offer guidance and suggestions when needed, but also really listen to what they want to work on and what is important to them. My approach combines a variety of treatment modalities, such as Cognitive-Behavioral, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Solution Focused Therapy and Psycho-education. Each treatment plan will be designed to meet my client's specific needs and concerns.

Christina is an extraordinary LICSW. She is able to meet me at my level, give me the time and space to process, and teach me the skills I need to move forward. Christina has been a huge help these past few months. She provided me with worksheets and links to help me understand how and why I’m feeling certain ways and they have been very insightful. I only communicated with her through massaging because of my schedule and dislike of video chatting with people I don’t know and she respected that. However, because of this the communication between us was very separated. Sometimes it took days for her to respond or for me to respond which was a bit frustrating. Overall my experience with Christina was great and she has helped me improve aspects of my life that I really needed help with.

Christina is a wonderful listener. She has helped me sort through a lot of my underlying issues and really bring to light things that I might have overlooked before. The format is wonderful. I can email while I'm in the moment and processing and then we can follow up with weekly phone sessions. What I like most is that she really hears me and what I'm saying. She doesn't project, she doesn't make me feel bad, she really just hears what I'm needing help with and is providing healthy solutions. I like that she challenges me to think deeper, she helps me come up with different ways of approaching a difficult situation and she keeps me focused on the end goal that I want to achieve.
