I have been a counselor for 20+ years. Counseling is a calling for me - a passion. I feel honored to come alongside those who are hurting, or who find themselves in a challenging place in their lives, and help them navigate through the difficulties that they face. I like to help my clients gain insight about themselves and others, assist them through the healing process, and then help them get back on track with their lives. I deal with the past issues as they affect the present, and I apply cognitive behavioral techniques to assist clients in facing and dealing with past hurts so they can heal and keep their past from hindering their progress in the present and future.
As a therapist, I would describe myself as empathetic, non-judgmental, direct, honest, and practical. I offer my clients my genuine concern and empathy, combined with my direct thoughts, insights, and recommendations. I can offer you a safe place to sort through what is on your mind and heart. Many people carry a heavy load emotionally and fear letting their guard down with others. One of the benefits of therapy is that I am not in your every day life. I am not your friend or family member...I am your counselor. I am not here to judge you. I can help you cut through the noise and get to the root of what is truly troubling you and I can walk you through the steps necessary to bring about the change you desire to see in your life.

Online counseling, sometimes called teletherapy, refers to talk therapy delivered remotely through digital platforms, such as video calls, phone calls, or chat. It can be a great option for people who face barriers to traditional face-to-face therapy, such as those living in remote areas, individuals with mobility issues, or people with busy schedules that make it difficult to attend in-person sessions.
Teletherapy also offers greater convenience and flexibility, allowing clients to access care from the comfort of their homes. Research shows that the treatment outcomes with online counseling are often just as effective as with traditional therapy, providing a viable alternative for individuals seeking mental health support.

Only therapist in my life that has been the right fit. She’s amazing!
Working with Deanna for the past few weeks has helped me a lot in handling my situation relating to post-relationship, career and life struggles. She’s all ears when I talk about my situation and gives me advice that are necessary. I would definitely have sessions with her again.
Deanna is excellent. She listens intently, and gains an understanding of how she can best provide advice and help. She helps identify areas that might have been buried that aren't dead issues, and aims to get to the root of problem areas.
She really makes my feelings feel valued!
I'm a young wife, mother and foster parent who has been struggling with compassion fatigue, approval/daddy issues and lifelong depression. I've been communicating with Deanna for 4.5 months. She has given me so much insight and this time with her has been monumental for me. A blessing from God. I'm doing well right now and feel like my eyes are opened more and some healing has taken place, though I need a whole lot more healing and time...I have hope for the journey to a renewed me:). I look forward to connecting with BetterHelp again in the future if God leads me back. Deanna you have been amazing. Thank you!
Great experience so far. Deanna has been very patient and understanding throughout the process. I have uncovered very quickly some past experiences in my life that I have been grappling with for a very long time. The experience has helped me to start to recognize and learn how to better work through certain life experiences and integrate them into my life.
There's no one like Deanna. She's smart, attentive, respectful, transparent, understanding, has a great sense of humor and many, many more qualities. She's been a great support to me. I will never thank her enough.
I have been a client of Deanna on BetterHelp for around 1.5 years. I came to Deanna on BetterHelp with anxiety problems, relationship issues (romantic, family, and other), stress management issues, and depression. I was in need of a non-judgmental, open, and friendly counselor with a religious background to help me process my past and to help me move forward. I have received that counselor-client process through Deanna. Deanna’s encouraging profile, great reviews, and positive first conversations were what led me to continue my process with Deanna. I am very pleased with my decision to continue counseling with Deanna for the past 1.5 years and have been encouraged by her counseling style. I will return to BetterHelp with Deanna in the future if needed.
Deanna is an amazing therapist, very attentive and compassionate, and a great listener. It's been overall a very good experience and I would definitely recommend her to anybody seeking help.

I have been seeing counselors for almost 20 years, but Deanna has been the most effective yet! I can't say enough good things about this platform for the struggles I have.
I was very hesitant about doing counseling but after a few sessions with Deanna I'm such an advocate. She is thorough, knowledgeable, understanding and really has a way of breaking down your situation in ways you didn't think about. I would highly recommend Deanna.

Deanna has been very helpful in clearing my thoughts and going through the process of feeling more like myself.
